A 20-month-old is dead after an overnight fight in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies went out to the 3800 block of Flamingo Drive just after 12:05 a.m. after a 911 call and found a woman who had been injured in a fight.

The victim said the man who assaulted her was her granddaughter’s father. After the fight, the father took the 1-year-old child and left.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment and a BOLO was issued for the man and his white car.

Just after 3 a.m. deputies located the vehicle in the 2000 block of Old Clinton Road, which is just over 7 miles away from where the fight took place.
The father was holding the child inside the car. The baby, 20-month old Bella Jordan, was not responsive and was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. An autopsy will be done at the GBI Crime Lab to determine the cause of death.

Miley told 13WMAZ that the baby appeared to have been beaten and possibly stabbed. She would have turned 2 on May 10th, according to Miley.
Two people have been taken into custody for questioning. Investigators are working to find out what led up to the fight.

Thanks @Jaded for the update

One-year-old Bella Jordan was found dead early Wednesday morning.
According to the Bibb County Coroner's Office, an altercation started on Flamingo Drive in Macon. The toddler's grandmother had been beaten.

Bibb deputies said Bella Jordan's mother called 911 just after midnight to report the attack. The grandmother told authorities that the child had been taken by the man who assaulted her -- 19-year-old Akiem Jordan, the toddler's father.
While the grandmother was taken to the hospital, deputies issued a "Be On the Look Out" for Jordan and the white vehicle he and a passenger, 20-year-old Rahem Ferrell were in.
Three hours later, deputies caught up with Jordan at Timber Pointe apartments on Old Clinton Road.

According to Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, one-year-old Bella was dead in the car and appeared to have been beaten and stabbed.
Jordan and Ferrell were both arrested and face charges of murder, with Ferrell also charged with aggravated assault.
In Court documents say, that in April of 2023, Jordan intended to murder his child's mother by stabbing her multiple times with a knife that had a blade of at least three inches long.

Why was he out on bail - I get petty crimes but violent crimes people should not be released.

I hope the judge and defense attorney who worked to get him out have an awful time trying to sleep at night.

On April 29, 2023, Piedmont Medical Center staff alerted authorities to a stabbing that occurred, leaving the female victim in critical condition when she arrived. A Bibb County Sheriff’s officer walked into the ER room and noted that she was stabbed multiple times in her face and body.
She explained that her child’s father, Akiem Jamal Jordan, pulled a small dagger from his pocket and attacked her when she told him she had been dating someone during their relationship break. Deputies suspected the person was a close friend of Jordan.
She said that they went prom shopping before the incident, returned to Jordan’s house, and then walked along a dirt road to talk. Jordan began to cry upon hearing the news and stabbed her repeatedly as she begged him not to kill her.
He finally stopped and walked away when she mentioned they had a child together. She limped back to his house, covered in blood, and asked his mother for help.
She rushed her to the hospital and told the deputy she was unsure how the attack happened. She had only seen them when they left on foot, and then the female returned, covered in blood and needing assistance.

She said she saw Jordan as they left, and he “was talking out of his head.” Deputies located and peacefully arrested him at his home with help from his family members.
They saw that he had changed his clothing, so they retrieved the clothes he had worn during the attack. When allowed inside, they noticed blood on the carpet leading from the front door down the hallway, where the victim collapsed.
A neighbor stated he heard screaming, and when he went outside to investigate, he saw a blood-soaked woman limping toward Wells Place. He also saw the suspect walking in the opposite direction with blood on one of his arms.

The victim said she lost her phone and wig during the attack. She explained that the dagger Jordan used came in a set he ordered from Amazon that included a sword as well.

He is going to go with mental illness as an excuse for what he did to baby Bella,

Thank you, again, for helping me out!

Can't believe this guy was given another opportunity to get stabby.
I can't believe another man would watch a baby be savagely murdered.

I know it won't happen but this should be a DP case for the both of them.

Young ladies need to see this as a cautionary tale - look for signs of anything off early in the dating relationship and run if you see any.

Some people cannot be fixed and it is nor "our" responsibility" to fix a broken male
