Kardie Rose Weathersby, 3, unresonsive, was dropped off around 1 am Tuesday at the hospital by someone in a blue van. The little girl died on Thursday. There is no indication of what injuries she may have suffered, but an autopsy will be performed on Monday. A few minutes after the child was admitted, staff learned the mother was on her way.

It is still not known who dropped the child off and why they left.

At this time, the investigation remains an active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call CMHU at 574-235-5009 or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.

Based on the many such stories we have seen:
-Step-dick beat the child half to death (most likely for a bathroom accident, based on the child's age) while mom was at work
-step-dick texted mom "something's wrong with your kid, she fell off the couch whoops"
-mom told step-dick to call 911
-step-dick said "hell no I'm not going back to prison" and dropped the kid off at the hospital before speeding (hopefully) out of their lives
-mom rushed to hospital

If it's anything else, I'll sincerely be surprised.

Only slightly. Cowardly bitch ass thing to do to a little baby tho.
Totally agree a cowardly bitch move. But not on the only slightly better. At least at the hospital she had a slight chance even if it was futile. She didn’t risk getting thrown in a landfill or pulverized in a trash compactor. Maybe she somehow knew for a few fleeting moments that someone was trying to save her. That she mattered.

TreVion Dawon Shaver, 21, has also been charged with a felony charge of aggravated battery in the death of Kardie Rose Weathersby.

Shaver is accused in charging documents of pulling up to the Memorial emergency room at about 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 13, motioning for help and then driving away after medical personnel took Kardie out of the vehicle.

The child’s mother, who was not identified in documents, arrived at the hospital shortly later.

Kardie had “very serious head injuries,” never regained consciousness and died on Oct. 15, the documents say.

The mother told police that Shaver had watched his daughter for several days prior.

Shaver told the child’s mother “and others” different stories, according to the documents — that Kardie either had an allergic reaction after he sprayed Bactine on her skin, that she hit her head on a bathtub or that she fell out of a car. He also told the mother at one point that he went “overboard” in disciplining Kardie.

An autopsy determined that Kardie died from blunt force trauma, and her death was ruled a homicide.

Shaver is currently in custody in Kentwood, Mich., on unrelated charges and is being held without bond.

Trevion Shaver, 23, was found guilty of the murder and aggravated battery of Kardie Rose Weathersby after a bench trial ended on Dec. 14, 2023.
Per court documents, Memorial Hospital staff found an unresponsive child in a man’s car at the emergency entrance on Oct. 13, 2020. As soon as the staff got the young girl from the vehicle, the man drove away.

Medical staff tried to help the child, but she sustained very serious head injuries and died on Oct. 15 without ever regaining consciousness.
Shortly after being dropped off, the child’s mother arrived, and told officers that the child had been under the care and supervision of her father, identified as Shaver, for several days prior.
At 1 a.m. on the night she was dropped off at the hospital, cell phone records show that Shaver called the mother to tell her she should go check on her daughter in the hospital, without ever giving a clear explanation. Shaver eventually gave the woman multiple explanations, including that the child had suffered an allergic reaction to Bactine, that she had hit herself while in the bath, or that she fell out of a car.

Court documents say that Shaver told the woman that he had gone “overboard” when disciplining the child.

Based on info. present, going with option 4. I'm SURE DOTM was a felon.

Did she do his hair before he killed her? :penguin:
Nah, she would have done better. Gotta love grown men in fucking pigtails :penguin:

That’s a fair sentence! I have to wonder if the mom knew he was a violent felon? Little Kardie didn’t deserve that! I’ll never understand how someone would place thier violent hands on that sweet little smile and take away her life? Something so permanent over something that would take 5 minutes to fix. Some people are too violent and too easily irritated to care for children.
