Sentenced: Rape Of 2YO Girl Discovered After Ruth Cruz & Eddie Cox Have Domestic Dispute

Eddie Cox, 46, and Ruth Cruz, 41, face charges for allegedly raping a girl younger than two years old.

Cruz allegedly admitted to officers she and Cox had “sexual contact” with a young girl in their home, according to Youskievicz.

Evidence collected from the suspects’ cell phones “substantiated” Cruz’s claim, Youskievicz said.

Police believe the alleged sexual misconduct occurred between December 2017 and January 2018.

The girl does not live with Cruz and Cox, and today is with her family.

Children Services are communicating with the victim, according to Youskievicz.

Police are also trying to determine if there are any other victims.

Eddie Cox, 47, was sentenced to more than two decades in prison on charges relating to sexual misconduct involving two children, one of them an infant.

Cox will have to register as a sex offender every 90 days for the rest of his life, and he will be on post-release control for five years.

Cox did not make a statement when given the opportunity.

Cruz gave a statement to the court, where she said that Cox coerced her into participate in the sexual acts.

“People say there was a way out. I couldn’t find a way at the time,” Cruz said. “I want to apologize to (the children’s mother) and the rest of the family … I’m not my charge, but I take responsibility for it.”
