Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted Monday that the Biden administration pressured Facebook to censor COVID-19 content and acknowledged it was wrong to stifle The Post’s coverage of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop.

In an explosive letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Zuckerberg wrote that “senior Biden administration officials, including the White House, repeatedly pressured” Meta to “censor” content related to the coronavirus pandemic in 2021.

The content the Biden administration requested that Meta take down included “humor and satire,” according to the Facebook founder, and he said he regrets complying with certain demands.

“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it,” he wrote. “I also think we made some choices that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today.”

Zuckerberg, 40, vowed that things will be different in future should the government make similar requests.

At this point, it would be a very, VERY long and uphill road, for this spoiled, cyborg-looking freak-thing, to gain anything resembling my trust or respect.

And one letter popping up, after it looks like someone he victimized might become president, ain't it.

Covering his ass.... if Trump gets in they are all going down... They keep going after Trump for all these fake charges over and over while these people have all been commiting actual crimes and getting away with it!

All he needs to do is expose the FBI, release Epstein list, the rest of the JFK assasination info... it will all crumble...

Umm, is it me, or didn't the laptop situation happen BEFORE Biden/Harris were in charge? Before the 2020 election even? So they were taking their marching orders from Biden/Harris before they were even elected. Can anyone say "The fix was in long before anyone cast their ballot in 2020"? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

@BuffettGirl you make an excellent point. The laptop story was before Biden was in office.

This is the spin:
He explained to the House Judiciary Committee, which has been probing Facebook’s content moderation standards, that prior to the decision to limit sharing of the bombshell October 2020 story, the FBI had “warned” Meta about “a potential Russian disinformation operation” related to the Biden family and Ukrainian energy giant Burisma, where Hunter sat on the board of directors.

“That fall, when we saw a New York Post story reporting on corruption allegations involving then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s family, we sent that story to fact-checkers for review and temporarily demoted it while waiting for a reply,” Zuckerberg wrote.

“It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” he acknowledged.

Zuckerberg agreed with the censorship and was not getting his arm twisted to conform - however he cares more about money and about losing power this is the only reason he is now saying this.

No one in the Bidden administration will call him out on his bullshit because they are hoping this whole thing will go away.

They can say Trump thinks the voters are stupid but the Obama/Biden Administration definitely think the American citizen is general is stupid and do not know what is good for them.

I would say, that when people are living in ignorance, and participating in a broken culture that celebrates ignorance, they cannot take actions (or necessarily hold opinions) that reflect their best interest.

A culture of ignorance is something that an actual leader will and must defeat. America became leaderless in the early 1960's, and stayed that way for decades, so there was nobody to do this. Hopefully for USA, the current pro-MAGA trend (which is mostly using the internet to bypass ignorance-creating "mainstream news" outlets) marks the beginning of the end of America's 60-year decline.

Shitty, shitty Biden/Cameltoe/Obama is the resounding choice of the brainwashed and pure fools, at this point. In contrast to that choice, America got lucky to have someone else to vote for who is apparently an actual leader. "Lucky" being the effective word. It didn't have to happen. Hopefully, it all works out.

Mark Zuckerberg says Biden officials would 'scream' and 'curse' when seeking removal of Facebook content

On an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" released Friday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg painted a picture of Biden administration officials berating Facebook staff during requests to remove certain content from the social media platform.

"Basically, these people from the Biden administration would call up our team and, like, scream at them and curse," Zuckerberg told podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan. "It just got to this point where we were like, 'No, we're not gonna, we're not gonna take down things that are true. That's ridiculous.'"

The White House did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment about Zuckerberg’s remarks.

It's not the first time that the co-founder of Facebook has said administration officials pressured the company to remove posts.

In a letter last year to Rep. Jim Jordan, the Republican chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg said that the White House “repeatedly pressured” Facebook to remove “certain COVID-19 content including humor and satire.”

Zuckerberg said Facebook, which is owned by Meta, acquiesced at times, while suggesting that different decisions would be made going forward. He said the company "made some choices that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today."
