'You white b----': Woman beaten and bloodied in vicious Mother's Day attack in Kroger parking lot

Police in Louisville, Kentucky, are investigating a Mother’s Day attack that resulted in a broken nose for a disabled army veteran.

The victim, Pamela Ahlstedt-Brown, says she was parked in a handicapped spot near the entrance of a Kroger grocery store and an altercation ensued when she backed up and noticed another vehicle blocking her in, according to Wave 3 News.

“I get out, and I say, ‘Do you guys need any help?’ and she said, ‘F--- you, you white b----,'” Ahlstedt-Brown said about the attack against her. “‘Hold on, you don’t even know me,' I said, ‘That’s fine. If you don’t need anything, that’s fine. I’ll get back in the car.’”
Ahlstedt-Brown, a military veteran, said the other vehicle’s passengers, four young black women in a Dodge Charger or Challenger, threw a cup at her and then attacked her.

“I mean, they were beating me, and I was in a fetal position, covering my face, making sure they didn’t get my eyes,” she said.

Ahlstedt-Brown says that strangers, not Kroger security, broke up the fight, and she suffered a broken nose.

Ahlstedt-Brown says she has had nightmares since the attack and is concerned that race may have played a role in the incident, although her husband is black and her children are biracial.

“I could have been killed, but I know how to protect myself,” she said, expressing fear that the attack could happen to someone else if the suspects aren’t apprehended. “I mean, I’m a strong person ... It doesn’t mean everybody is this strong.”

Louisville police said they are investigating the incident and said the courts will have to decide whether or not hate crime charges are appropriate.

You took issue with the media source that was linked because bias, but didnt actually check the source that they used either even though its right there in the part thats linked here. That's on you. If you had you'd have found that it was witnessed by multiple bystanders and theres also a surveillance tape of the incident which the police have and are refusing to make public.

The women involved claimed the victim was the aggressor but the bystanders seem to back the victim. The only real way to settle what happened is for police to make that tape public. No matter who started it, that woman took one hell of a beating. They got pictures of her taken right after and shes drenched in blood. Doesnt matter if someone talked shit, beating a disabled person(shes actually disabled) to that extent..theres no excuse. I dont care what color you are..you should be raised with better values than to explode like a firecracker over potential word exchanges.

Yesterday the source agency released a new article about it that gives both sides to the story and they've had even more witnesses coming forward than they had with the first article.

Since then, multiple witnesses have come forward, including Rico Vidal.



”As (the other women in the car behind her) putting groceries in the car, I see (Ahlstedt- Brown) hop out her car and say, ‘Y’all need to move your car right now,’” Vidal said. He and another witness who didn’t want to be identified said they saw everything from the moment Ahlstedt-Brown walked out of Kroger.

”She was definitely aggressive,” one witness said. “She would retreat and take a couple steps back, and then charge at them while they were loading groceries in their car. They never left the trunk of their car.”

”When security came out to finally get in between them, this was before any blows were thrown at all,” Vidal said. “Right after, he stood in between them, Pamela swung.”

Ahlstedt-Brown said she believes she was the victim and the “attack” against her was racially motivated.

“Pamela just runs at the girls and spits at them,” one witness said. “And they beat her up. Now she’s on the news saying it was four Black women that attacked her. It wasn’t.”

Other witnesses agreed it was not four Black women. They said one was white, and only two women were physically involved in the altercation with Ahlstedt-Brown.

”If somebody had blocked me in, the most I would have done is said, ‘Would you mind backing up, but oh you’re putting groceries in the car, I’ll wait,’” Vidal said. “That’s all it had to have been ... (Brown) was doing the hand-clapping, saying what she could do to them or what she would do to them.”



Vidal and the other witnesses said they both decided to reach out to WAVE 3 News after seeing Ahlstedt-Brown’s version of the story. They said she lied, and wanted to make sure the truth also was shared with the public.

Ahlstedt-Brown said the attack was broken up by strangers, not Kroger security personnel. However, both witnesses said multiple people stepped in to try and stop the situation, including a Kroger employee, but said that didn’t stop Ahlstedt-Brown

“As (the women in the car) were getting in their car to leave, she approached their car,” one witness said. “(Ahlstedt-Brown) attempted to throw a drink at them, so even when it was deescalated, she continued to be the aggressor. She ran in front of me as I was entering the store to throw a drink at them.”

The simplest thing when you question a media story is to do your own homework on their source. Sources often have completely different stories to the big headliners that steal their stories because they have different sets of legal obligations. An agency whos just reprinting another agencies story doesnt have to fact check were the original agency does have a legal obligation to fact check. You will very often find the original media outlet will amend or change stories as they evolve because of this.
