A would-be kidnapper briefly scooped up a 6-year-old boy from a busy Coney Island sidewalk Sunday night — only to let him loose once the screaming child’s parents were hot on his tail, according to cops and wild video.
The 36-year-old — seen wearing all black, including a bizarrely tall black hat — grabbed the boy just before 10 p.m. near the corner of Stillwell and Surf avenues, police said.
The sicko pounced on the child as he started trailing behind his parents, according to witness Nora Smiles, known as “The Sneaker Lady,” whose shop is right next to the scene.
