I really love your ability to see both sides. We need more people like that and then the world wouldn't be such a mess. My granddaughter watches this show called Duck and Goose. Sounds silly as all toddler shows but it's motto is "Friends don't have to agree. You be you and I be me." Yes. That. Unless it's about how to hide a body or something.Fair points. But that kind of makes my point a little bit stronger. If she's an American, then she KNEW the possibility existed. I'm not coming down on one side or the other regarding the mugshot, both sides have a point IMO. A hijab is a unique article of clothing. It hides a lot that can change the appearance of a person if they decided freedom is more important than religious adherence. It hides completely a woman's hairline for instance. It hides things like moles, ears, how you look if your hair is up or down, which might sound drastic, but if I wear a ponytail at the nape of my neck I look 100% different than I do if I wear my normal cheerleader type high pony. Some people like to assert that if anything is done, then it's RAYSIS, or intending to harm, when the reality is as far from their bullshit suppositions as we currently are from the lunar surface. I see both sides very clearly. I happen to fall on the side that says sometimes prudence is required and that might make people uncomfortable....![]()

I know that nobody as me but I'm an atheist and IMO religion is mass hysteria. I am truly sorry for anyone that I offend with that statement. I don't run around wanting to argue about really anything unless it affects me or mine. But changing your hairstyle also calls into my defense. I could go blonde and contour the shit out of my face and look completely different. She is just changing her religious "hat" and we live in America where we have certain protections. Besides, come on, are you the religious hat police?I don't see any reason why a member of any religion should have any special privileges over others,.
Hijab is a religious thing mostly, if not entirely?
You can change your hair etc, but it's up to you it's up to you, whether you want to live a lie, or allow others to see you in a mismatched haircut

Granted, that scenario happening is slim to none BUT why does the nun get to keep the thing that covers her hair? As my dead Nana would say, I'm not a believer. I'm a science lady. But...you know, freedom of rights and all. Hey...they made the rules, not me.I think the nun got the most exercise in this scenario. The garments end up being a sweat band, but that doesn't matter and they shouldn't have to remove them.
