A 60-year-old woman was assaulted by two suspects at a Brooklyn subway station last Friday after she told the pair to wear face masks, police said.

Before entering the elevator, the victim told the assailants — a man and a woman — that they could not ride with her unless they used face coverings, authorities said.

In a surveillance video released by police, the man can be seen slipping past the victim, who then tries to stop the woman from entering the elevator.

The two women then get into a scuffle before the man exits the elevator and wallops the victim, who falls to the ground, the video shows.

As the woman is down, the man continues to punch her, according to the footage.

The woman is an idiot and she objectively can NOT claim to care about her health. If you care about your health, choosing to engage in an argument and even physical altercation with anti-maskers is totally at odds with that. If you do this, you do not care about your health, fact.

She was just looking to get uppity with someone. Everyone involved is trash.

Really? There are still people out there who think it's okay for them to be the "mask police"? And, it appears the victim became physical first. Not very smart.
I tell people to put a mask on all the time, especially if my kids are with me, because they know, and l need to set the example. Not a dick about it. Sometimes l even say "please". But l'm not a little old lady around a couple of dickhead thugs either. My wife hates masks. She pulled hers off exiting the grocery store and a man told her she should be dead and he should beat her ignorant ass for not having a mask on... it didnt end well. I didnt get arrested. The car was in one of the first parking spaces. Conundrums....

I don't get when I see families in stores and mom and dad have a mask and sometimes a face shield too, but the kids have nothing on their faces. Are they not scared their children might get sick? If my kids were too young to wear a a mask or wouldn't keep it on then I would stay home and someone else would go to the store for me.

@cubby the only place my grandbabies have been is the pediatrician to get shots. My youngest daughter gets to go occasionally because she can wear a mask and not lick sanitizer off her hands, lol. My youngest grandson was born in the end of October a year ago.. he was too young and it was flu season so we didn't take him out.. then COVID-19 hit and the only place I have ever taken him is to get shots and I let no one within 5ft near him.. the most people he's ever been around was his first birthday - and that was all family - I required that they be tested to come..

This policy should have never came to be in the first place. People should have a choice in taking responsible precautions to prevent illness. If you wish to wear a mask or get the vaccine, then by all means, do so. However masks and vaccines should not be mandatory nor prohibited. People should be allowed to have the final say so when it comes to their own health. We might not get all of it right, but we must be able to make an informed decision.
