Police arrested a man in Florida who was captured on video pinning an 11-year-old girl to the ground while she begged for her life after he became convinced she was the culprit in a week-long egging attack on his home.

Marius Mutu, 43, faces charges for battery and the false imprisonment of the young girl.

The child, fearing for her safety, repeatedly screamed for help while Mutu chased her. He roughly forced her to the ground as she continued wailing.

"Please, I wasn’t doing anything. I swear on my life. Help me,” she cried out in terror.

Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene around noon Saturday. By then, a bystander had intervened and tried to force Mutu off of the girl, according to the video.

Mutu tried to make his case by telling authorities that he assumed the girl had egged his home after he spotted her nearby. He claimed that he was trying to take a photo to report her to the apartment complex’s management team, according to the sheriff’s office.

I think I would be beside him getting my picture took if he did this to one of my kids. Hell, she isn't even my child and I feel rigid with rage. While I am a petite woman I am pretty sure a baseball bat could do damage to his stupid face. He'd probably break my neck but at least I would get some licks in first. There are too many assholes running around who haven't had their asses beat at the right time.

That's his fucking evidence against her? She was near his home? Does he live in the middle of nowhere or something that such incidents are so rare that this is proof she must have done it?

And more importantly, even if she HAD done it, his reaction is fucking insane. What kind of man thinks attacking a little girl for ANY reason is at all ok?

We egged a few houses in grade school, we did it indiscriminately. We got chased a few times.

OK, not real sure why pronouns or gender got dragged into this, but having them clean the mess they made seems like a perfectly normal thing to do... as opposed to attacking the kid.
