President Trump is ready to pinch pennies out of production.

The 47th president announced Sunday night he was instructing the Department of Treasury to stop making new pennies because the cost of minting the 1-cent coin is too high.

“For far too long the United States has minted pennies which literally cost us more than 2 cents,” he posted on Truth Social after attending the first half of Super Bowl LIX.

I try to get all information I can, think I've mentioned before I try get everyone's point of view including multiple countries, CNBC is descent, CNN news is good. However MSNBC has incredibly stupid one sided narrative. Just unwatchable for more than a few minutes, it's programming is an embarrassment to anyone with two or more brain cells

I also saw AP moved from center to far left.
Sticking to the center is best.

When Musk was answering press questions in the Oval Office, dressed casually, interrupting Trump, and brought his kid ? That made me feel very uncomfortable for Trump. Not a Trump fan most of the time, but he's our goddamned president. Booed at the game? A strange feeling came over me- sad, protective, embarrassed.

Look, both sides do it, but it's wrong.
Remember when we were kids, even if another kid didn't know you or was your bully, they were polite af to your parents?

At any rate, I don't think Trump is going to keep Musk around longer than he has to. He didn't look happy about things today. It's not appropriate for it to appear Musk's usurped the office, even a little.

I honestly don't see there being much of a reason for any physical coins going forward. I think actual cash is important to keep for a lot of reasons. We should have cards/phone apps that "change" can be deposited to. I'd also be in total favor of moving from a $0.00 model to an $00 way or life. Unfortunately, inflation and everything seems to make "change" seem like it should be a thing of the past.

Abolish the Federal Reserve Bank, not the penny. Return to a gold standard, as prescribed in the Constitution. End fractional-reserve "banking".

Shutter every overseas .mil base of the immoral US military empire and dismiss at least 3/4 of the men. Guard the coasts and borders with those who remain enlisted. With the trillion dollars saved, lower fed taxes (or just abolish the IRS) and start a new GI Bill to train and apprentice the returning men to rebuild the country.

Return to a pre-Lincoln Constitution (the Articles of Confederation would be better). Get rid of every bit of Monsanto and big pHARMa and start growing and eating real food again. Repatriate and rebuild manufacturing in America.

Rein in all financial chicanery: international banks, foreign aid, the derivatives "markets" (they're not markets, but shooting fish in a barrel). The founders mostly agreed with "no entangling alliances" and honest free trade with anyone on Earth. Defund "higher ed" which is nothing of the sort these days, and .gov ed, which is nothing but indoctrination now.

Insist on meritocracy, or we'll all DIE from DEI. Disallow corporations to be firewalls for criminality and incompetence and cartels. Either perform, or go out of business. Real competition, where those who serv the consumer the best are rewarded, and bullshit walks.

This is most of the great Ron Paul's presidential platform - minus any coarse language.
