A brown male dog was located by good samaritans wandering in the East Worcester area. The dog was castrated and wandering the streets.

Troopers want to locate the owner of the dog, along with whoever is responsible for injuring it. The dog is male and is all brown with white paws. He is believed to be approximately 5-years-old and has a calm demeanor.

The dog was taken to a vet in the Latham area and stabilized. He was later transferred to the Susquehanna SPCA where he is recuperating.

A man whom witnesses described as having been around the scene of the castration is described as a tall, elderly, Caucasian male with combed-back white hair. Locals have stated that he was wearing a tailored suit, and was attempting to lure them into a game where he insisted that they guess the prices of random goods without going over. Based on this information, it is possible that this man works in the game show industry, perhaps even as a game show host. He is not considered a suspect in the dog's castration at this time, but is only requested to answer some questions. We ask the public to not approach this man, for he may be armed with a pair of scissors and therefore potentially dangerous. If you have any idea where this man is or how to find him, please contact 1-800-RUF-SNIP. Again, that is 1-800-arr-you-eff, ess-en-eye-pee.
