One to Two Months
At around one month old, the panda cub weighs about four pounds and looks like an adult cub, but with a longer tail. The panda cub starts opening its eyes after one month, and one to two weeks later is able to fully open them.
At three or four weeks of age, the cub does not need constant contact with the mother for warmth as it can regulate its body temperature better. Suckling occurs often with the cub being dependent on its mother's supply of high-fat milk.
At two months, the cub has grown a bit more, and now weighs about 10 to 12 pounds. At two months of age, the cub stops crying. The mother continues to suckle the cub at two months, usually three to four times each day.

The trouble with Pandas when it comes to mating are some seriously long odds
Pandas in the wild are solitary creatures as they roam from one forested bamboo patch to the next. Once a year they come into estrus and at this time, females will go to the outskirts of their ranges and rub their anal area on trees and rocks to deposit smelly secretions from their anogenital glands. Males do much the same to let the female know who is in the neighborhood. The female panda will except a mate for the brief period of approximately 24 to 38 hours if he has all the right moves. Now I'd call that a very small fucking window.
On top of that, the male giant panda has one of the smallest penises relative to body size in the entire animal kingdom.
A willing female must get into the lordosis posture, in which she lowers her front end, arches her back down and raises her tail end up, putting her vaginal cavity in the right position for the male to enter her from behind. And once he obtains the position, she has to shove on to him,
After orgasm, both male and female giant pandas bleat, or let out a goat-like cry. The male will then do a "roll back," in which he sits on his butt and lower pelvic area and pulls the female so that she's sitting on him — and holds on as long as he possibly can. It's unknown why the male does this.
He may hang a bit and try to possibly mate with the female a few more times.
I've watched Mei Xiang and Tian Tian attempt to mate a few times and it was mostly bleating's and Mei backing up to Tian Tian, who backed up from Mei Xiang. No joy.

As of this morning, the cub weighed 1,337 grams, or just under three pounds. From nose to tail tip, it measured 35.5 centimeters, or 13.9 inches (its tail accounts for two of those inches). For the first time, we had a chance to measure the cub’s abdominal girth as well. It’s back and belly measured 32 centimeters, or 12.5 inches in circumference. Our plump panda cub is almost as round as it is long!
Little Bit should be opening it's eyes soon and learn the sex sometime this week.

I've followed Mei Xiang for many years now and she certainly is a very special bear. Mother to previous cubs
Tai Shan (Tie-Shon), Bao Bao (Bow Bow) and Bei Bei (Bay Bay).
Earlier this evening I was watching Mei Xiang pushing baby bear away from herself so it would have to scooch it's very plump self back over to her. She repeated this action several times and good thing too as baby bear has grown as wide as it is long and can use the exercise.

The baby boy panda at the Smithsonian National Zoo turned 7-weeks-old Friday, and zookeepers say the plump guy had a big growth spurt in the last week.
While mama bear stepped away from the den on Thursday, handlers were able to whisk the little guy out for a quick check-up where he weighed in a 4.5 pounds (2.07 kilograms), almost a whole pound more than last week.
Zookeepers said that the cub mostly slept through the brief exam
The cub measured 15 inches from nose to tail tip, and he has added almost an entire inch around his midsection, which now measures in at 13.7 inches. That's up from 12.5 inches on Sept. 30. Zookeepers say his growth and development are right on track.
The cub's eyes have also fully opened, and zoo officials say to keep an eye out on the Panda Cam where you may notice the cub start reacting to noises around him as his ear canals start to open soon.
