Her mother (Elish Hill) told investigators she left Zaniyla in the care of a friend while she went to work. She later received a call saying Zaniyla was “lying on her back” and not acting like herself. When she returned, she found the child unresponsive.

Zaniyla was transferred to Albany Medical Center, where she died on August 6.

An autopsy determined Zaniyla died from lack of oxygen to the brain caused by inner-skull bleeding. Investigators said the injuries are believed to have occurred on August 1.
Elisha describes a prior incident where Baby Z had marks on her body after being watched by the same people. the baby was brought to the hospital. a cps investigation was opened but later closed.

"So before it, there was an incident with them, but when I brought her to the hospital with the babysitter, the hospital's doctors told me it literally just came from him like throwing her in the air, throwing her too hard in the air," Elisha added.

The throwing her in the air hard would have made me never take my child over there again!

I hate it when people, usually men, throw small babies in the air, hopefully catching them, I feel like I'm having a heart attack, I just have to turn around and walk away, I can't watch it. It's just so dangerous, but they just laugh at you when you say something,

I HATE THAT! My dad use to do it to me, I remember, and I remember that I LOVED IT! AGAIN! AGAIN! But My mom would be so upset saying "Ricky STOP!" , I would be laughing, he would be laughing but Mom could barely watch and just yell to please stop. NOW I understand-my girls dad would try that, uh uh no sir we are NOT doing this..would send me into a tizzy.

OMG LOOK AT THAT FACE! Like the most kissable "nom nom" face ever!!! How could anyone hurt her?? I know I know, there is true evil in the world...

RIP Zaniyla
