"McDonough Police identified the victims as 19-year-old Dahmir Robinson and 18-year-old Savannah Fulmer, neither of who lived in the neighborhood where they were discovered, CBS 46 reported.
Residents on New Orleans Way said they first spotted the car in the early hours of the morning, parked somewhat awkwardly in the cul-de-sac. Passers-by assumed its occupants were sleeping until someone peered inside the window and spotted their injuries.
“To me, it just looked weird,” neighbor Jamie Aldonado told WSB-TV. “And as I approached the car, I immediately saw the male passenger had a bullet wound.”
The teens, who had been dating for about three years, were found inside a car belonging to one of Fulmer’s relatives. It’s unclear whether the shooting happened where the car was found or elsewhere.
Authorities have additionally speculated that because there were no bullet holes in the car, that the young couple was fatally shot – both in the head – outside the vehicle and then placed inside of it.
Law enforcement officers have not yet uncovered a motive or suspect in the case and have called on the community to come forward with any details they may have.
“Right now, we’re just asking for the public’s help to generate any leads, any information we can use,” Detective William Poss told Fox 5.
He declined to say why the teens were in the neighborhood and whether a weapon was recovered on the scene."
