Tambria Chaprii Palmer did not want to watch the SEC matchup, according to a report in the Macon Telegraph, and turned the channel while her father, Darrell Palmer, was watching it in the living room. The 28-year-old moved back in with her parents recently in Milledgeville along her four children.
Baldwin County sheriff’s Capt. Brad King said he thinks the incident is a “culmination of things” that ended with “dad was going to watch the ballgame and she wanted to watch something else.”
The father and daughter began arguing and Darrell Palmer turned off the TV all together, according to sheriff’s office incident report. Tambria Palmer tried to turn it back on, then began swearing at her father and attempted to hit him, according to the report.
The next moments are particularly disturbing. Per Liz Fabian at the Telegraph:
King said she threw the gun into the bushes after shooting every round in the magazine. She was ordered to the ground and arrested. Her three older children, ages 2 to 10, were found in a back bedroom still inside the house.
“It’s a tragedy for a family to go through that but we’re extremely pleased we didn’t have anybody hurt. Actually, I’m on the verge of being amazed,” King told the Telegraph.
Tambria Palmer is charged with six counts of aggravated assault, four counts of cruelty to children and one count of reckless conduct.

She allegedly pointed the gun and fired a shot, which sent her father scrambling to get out of the house.
