A man was charged with murder after his mother’s body was found stuffed in a box in her Brooklyn apartment, the NYPD said.

The body of Shirley Awer, 67, was discovered by a social worker who visited the East Flatbush apartment Friday afternoon, police said.

Awer’s son, David Drummond,30, suffers from schizophrenia. Drummond, was taken into custody after allegedly admitting he hit her, police and law enforcement sources previously told The Post.
