I bet this is gonna be so shit.

The lack of music in horror games now is bogus and it annoys me. I mean, if you recall playing RE1, or 2 especially back in the day, and other horror games from the PS1 or PS2 era, they all had noteworthy music that truly stood out. Not anymore.

They also made Maria look less sexually provocative for some odd reason. Why, damn it?

She was supposed to be a stripper in this club named Heaven's Night in the storyline. She goes to a house to make herself useful, and finds some important liquid to help free a ghost trapped in there, before leaving to await the arrival of James Sunderland in the park. So already, it doesn't look right with her tattoo, skirt and jacket. But the side character Angela looks way more atrocious, so fans are devoting memes to bashing her.

Fuck me. Silent Hill Community is offline again. :D

That makes one less forum to post on about survival horror ranting this summer. But oh well. Maybe that forced break I was seeking will have to play out after all. At least until Gamescom anyway. :(

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying. The music in those older horror games really added another layer of tension and atmosphere that made the experience unforgettable. It created a mood that stuck with you long after you turned off the console. Nowadays, it seems like the focus has shifted more towards ambient sounds or silence to build suspense. While that can be effective in its own way, there's something irreplaceable about a haunting melody or a sudden, jarring track that makes your heart race. It's like horror games are missing that extra emotional punch that comes with a well-composed score.

And I thought you were a genuine member for a minute there. :)

There is nothing going on in the world of the survival horror gaming sector at the moment. Well, except for some PS2 Piglet game being sold at a higher cost because a sound sample was used in the SH2 remake. And people just noticed some similar stuff.

Very peculiar tactic to earn more dough through unnecessary inflation. But hey. Laugh all the way to the bank, you eBay sellers.
