Five men have been arrested for kidnapping a 22-year-old college student who they allegedly gang raped over three days before strangling her to death.
Cao Thi My Duyen has been identified as the murder victim in the northern Vietnamese province of Dien Bien.
The victim was found half-naked, wearing only a long-sleeved top and underwear. Her face was covered with her motorcycle helmet.
The local authorities have also arrested five suspects who are currently being investigated.
They have been identified as Bui Van Cong, Pham Van Nhiem, Luong Van Hung, Luong Van La and Vuong Van Hung.
According to local media, the suspects have admitted to kidnapping and raping the student before killing her.
Van Hung, one of the suspects, reportedly ordered the live chickens and asked for Duyen to deliver them personally from her mother's market stall.
