A Kennewick woman is accused of sexually assaulting a preschool-age girl, filming the acts and sharing the videos with other adults, according to court documents.
Brittany Terris, 29, is charged with first-degree rape of a child, molestation and dealing child pornography, among other charges.
The Kennewick Police Department started investigating Terris after receiving a tip on Jan. 27 from a man who said she offered him nude images of herself with the young victim, court documents said. Terris also allegedly asked of the man was interested in having sex with both her and the child.
The man said he denied the images but agreed to meet Terris and the child at a home in Kennewick. He told police he visited the home multiple times.
On the last visit, the man said Terris showed him a video of an adult male raping 5 or 6-year-old child. The child was not the victim in the case, court documents said.
Afterward seeing the footage on Terris’ phone, the man said he did not want to be with her and cut off contact several days before contacting police.
On Jan. 29, detectives seized Terris’ phone and questioned her about the allegations. Police said Terris admitted that she had sexually assaulted the girl, and that the abuse lasted from October to December 2019.
The next day, they interviewed her again. During the second interview, she provided details about the kind of sexual acts she would engage in. She reportedly told police she abused the child for her own sexual gratification.
Authorities said they obtained a search warrant for Terris’ phone and found videos of her raping the child.
