Perry County Sheriff Nick Weems says his deputies executed a search warrant this morning on the home and premises of David Shane Hammer in the Pineview community.

According to the Sheriff, Hammer is a both a sex offender and has been convicted on multiple felonies.

The Sheriff says the search warrant stems from Hammer possessing and selling multiple firearms.

During the search, officers discovered some of the "worst living conditions" they had ever seen, Weems added.

Reportedly four children were living in the home with Hammer and his wife.

Both Hammer and Hattie Huthinson were taken into custody.

Booking information shows the couple is currently charged with crimes stemming from the Abuse and Neglect of the children.

According to PCSO staff, Hammer is listed as an active "violent" sex offender.

A registered sex offender from Nashville was behind bars Tuesday after authorities say he violated the violent sex offender registry by withholding information about his online dating profiles.

According to an arrest warrant, 34-year-old David Hammer was required by law to notify law enforcement within three days of changing any email address or any instant message or chat names.

The warrant states he failed to alert authorities about names he had been using dating back to at least the start of the year.

Court papers show he used the name "tatedcowboy81" dating back to April 1, a "match.com" account with the associated name of "tatedcowboy" with account activity dating back to March 28 and a "cougarlife.com" account with the associated name "tatedcowboy81" with account activity dating back to Jan. 1.

The accounts he was operating were not listed on the Sex Offender Registry and he was arrested.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Hammer was convicted of attempted rape in 2008 and of statutory rape in 1999.
