Sentenced: Texas Woman Took Nude Photos Of 1YO Boy, Shared Child Porn With Others

Hannah Nicole Edwards, 32, faces a federal charge of sexual exploitation of children.

Edwards is accused of taking nude photos of a 1-year-old boy at her Fort Worth home.

On Feb. 6, an undercover officer who was utilizing the Kik Messenger application was in a group described only as “Group A” when he was contacted by someone identified with a screen name of “Jessa H.”

During their conversation, “Jessa H” described graphic sexual abuse she said she committed against two children and shared a file of child pornography. One image depicted a 1-year-old boy who was not wearing any clothes.

Through the investigation, federal authorities later identified “Jessa H” as Hannah Nicole Edwards of Fort Worth.

On Sunday, FBI agents armed with a search warrant went to Edwards’ home and seized multiple items including her iPhone.


During an interview with FBI agents, according to the complaint, Edwards said she used Kik Messenger to communicate with other users about the sexual assault of children and to receive and distribute child pornography.

She admitted to FBI agents that she sent the child porn photos she had taken to multiple users on the Kik Messenger instant-messaging app, according to the criminal complaint.

A Fort Worth woman who took nude photos of a 1-year-old and then shared them has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.

Hannah Nicole Edwards also must register as a sex offender, and once she gets out of prison she will be on supervised release for the rest of her life, according to federal court documents.

The Fort Worth woman will not be allowed to access or utilize a computer or Internet connection device including but not limited to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo or similar devices without the permission of a probation officer.

In addition, Edwards must have no contact with juveniles under the age of 18.

Edwards was sentenced last month after pleading guilty in April to a federal charge of sexual exploitation of children.

Don’t get me wrong, What she did was disgusting, and I’m assuming we missed many details-but WHY do sentences seem to have no rhyme or reason when it comes to crimes against children.

30 years for what on the news is saying pictures of a naked child meant pornography. Fine. Keep the 30 years. But then for fucks sake don’t turn around and give some piece of shit 3 years for sitting back while their child is beat to death. Or some dick 12 years for manslaughter while raping a baby (bc they didn’t “realize” that would lead to death).

The discrepancy in sentences in this country is criminal in and of itself. And the strangest thing is-at least in the cases on DD are that they don’t really follow a pattern. White, black, Hispanic, Indian, all children seemed to get little if any justice. I guess the pattern is they are children.

If you look up the transcript from her initial hearing it says on the day she was arrested she admitted to anally penetrating the 1-year old with her finger and when she chatted with the undercover agent on kik she tried hard to set up a meeting so he could abuse the kids while she watched. If she hadn’t agreed to plea guilty she might have gotten life.

i appreciate the additional information and see it wasn’t just pictures. I was fine with her 30 years, just aggravated most sentences don’t seem follow any logic that i can see and are way too lenient.

I've been biting my tongue for years trying to not say anything anywhere about Hannah. She is a horrible person and it makes me so angry that they never showed her face or mugshot. Usually you get to see their face in news reports. I'm appalled cause I dont understand why she is being protected from people seeing who she is. There is a ton of people who know her like friends and family that dont even know this happened at all! Her mother is trying to keep it a secret from the world somehow. Someone left a comment saying glad they didnt try to blame it on an internet boyfriend. Well that's just what her mom tells anyone who knows about it. That her internet boyfriend (her husband at the time) did it and not her. When she actually confessed to the police right away. They did arrest the father and took his devices and hers and released the father that night. He was never involved. And to be very clear this was her own 2 children she was doing this to. It never says that in any reports. She was molesting her own kids and exchanging child porn online. And god only knows what else. Her mother has custody of the 2 kids and their father is fighting the grandmother in court for custody of his own children. She is now serving her 30 years in prison in Alabama. When she was sentenced the documents said that she can never use the internet again. And when she is released she can not use any internet devices and will be closely monitored. That's a good thing right? Well shes already back on the internet using a site called penacon where you can message and write to people in prison. You get a profile and bio and pictures. Alot like a social media site. Ironic dont ya think?
