A Shasta Lake man was arrested this week after sheriff's deputies found "hundreds" of sexually explicit photos of underage girls in a shed on his property.
The man, identified as Jeremy Michael Saber, 47, admitted to possessing child pornography and taking photos of victims in an interview, according to a press release from the Shasta County Sheriff's Office.
On Oct. 15, deputies searched Saber's home and discovered an outbuilding with a separate locked room. Inside the room, investigators found "hundreds" of images depicting girls that look to be about 9- to 15-years old in a sexually explicit manner.
"The room also contained adult- and child-sized mannequins dressed up in wigs, makeup and posed in various stages of sexual acts," the sheriff's office said.
Deputies also learned of a storage unit Saber had rented from Bryant Security Storage in Shasta Lake. When they searched the unit, they again found hundreds of images similar to the ones on his property, the sheriff's office said.
Officials have identified four victims in the case.
"This is an active and ongoing investigation; further charges are expected to be filed in the future," the sheriff's office said.
