The former IKM-Manning teacher accused of sexual abuse of students plead guilty to all charges this week, and will be sentenced in March.

Cassidy (Branning) Kraus, 24, was arrested in October and charged with third degree sexual abuse, two counts of lascivious acts with a child and three counts of dissemination of obscene material to minors.

A plea agreement was filed earlier this month in which Kraus agreed to plead guilty to all six charges she is facing.

According to criminal complaints within the case, it is alleged Kraus performed sex acts with a minor victim last January and committed lascivious acts with a minor victim in May of last year. Criminal complaints also allege Kraus disseminated obscene material to three minor victims through the mobile app Snapchat.

A report was made in August to IKM-Manning School District alleging Kraus sent inappropriate photos of a sexual nature to students.

During the investigation, it was discovered Kraus sent inappropriate photos through Snapchat on or around May.

I would quite literally (being serious here, my guilt complex is massive) die of shame if I were caught cheating. I would internalize that shit SO hard I would simply die. That's how vile the mere thought of cheating is to me. But with her students? It's so repugnant and just sordid to have recently taken vows to another human being and then to go off and cheat with three of your students? But then again, we now live in a society that brags about what cucks their boyfriends are... Why would you ever want to claim that you're that nasty? "Yeah, my man's a cuck because I'm a filthy whore with zero class and I want the world to know it?" And we celebrate and fete these assholes? I don't get it... :shifty:
 
"The boy's mum informed cops that Shires called her and told her that she wanted to take her own life because she and her son had ruined her life." my gosh that "teacher" better grow up she reminds me of a kid coming home after getting in trouble at school and say "the teacher got me in trouble" and when mine said that i would say "who got YOU in trouble?" but hey the were like 12 or so at the time so yea "teacher" YOU ruin YOUR life by being a pedo ....

I wonder why he is divorcing her as opposed to annulling the marriage. But regardless, this is a very good reason for him to leave that marriage. She didn't need to be paying that type of attention to teenagers.

Payton Shires, a social worker from Texas and this one, Cassidy Krauss, the reading teacher from Iowa.

The article mentions "boys" in relation to Shires, not Krauss.
So that's still up in the air @Turd Fergusen

An annulment can be done after a divorce. In a lot of states if the length of a marriage is less than a year a divorce can be done quickly without lawyers if both parties are in agreement. I know someone going through this now, and I have a friend whose husband received an annulment years after his divorce from his first wife.

Well, this sent me into a worm hole for a bit today... cuz yes. That is an excellent question,
and got me thinking.

I went and looked for her specifically for her agreement. Couldn't find it, but being that she plead guilty to all of the original charges, without a charge reduction or sentencing agreement in place, makes me ask WHY she pled guilty a less than 2 weeks before her trial was to start? Or was she offered a sentencing offer that the judge didn't accept?

So, the whole purpose of a plea bargain or a plea agreement is to avoid a trial. In the majority of cases (but not all cases) it results in a lesser sentence.

Here's to me hoping that she pled guilty only to spare the victims from having to testify. Here's to me hoping she holds herself accountable for her vile crimes.
