Madison Cassidy Moore, 26, the mother of a 5-month-old baby who died after being left in a car for several hours Sunday in Iredell County faces a manslaughter charge.

The autopsy, conducted earlier this week, points to environmental hyperthermia — an abnormally high body temperature — Campbell said. Investigators say Moore told them the baby was left in a car seat, inside a car, for several hours.

Deputies and Troutman Fire-Rescue and Iredell EMS personnel responded Sunday afternoon to a call about a child in respiratory distress.

The pain this baby went through while they were dying (cooking to death) warrants this woman no sympathy.

Babies are demanding, needy little creatures they are not easy to forget unless you left them in the car to get a moment to yourself.

It bugs the shit out of me.. my grands are nonstop.. it is beyond comprehension that you forget a child and not notice.. hey it’s kind of quiet.. track them immediately.. even if distracted.. you should notice there’s something missing.. it’s not like there’s a mute button on them in the car either.. I guess it comes down to attentiveness..
