A Clarksville man was arrested and charged with aggravated child neglect following the death of an infant in April.

According to our news partners at ClarksvilleNow, 20-year-old Marquitis Ridley, was arrested on September 11 on the charge from an indictment that came down in April from the Montgomery County Grand Jury.

The child’s mother, Whitney Brown, was arrested previously on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and neglect.

On January 9, Brown’s 2-month-old child, Kamari Ridley was taken to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville and then to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville.

According to previous reports and court records, the child was unresponsive and had a head injury. About three days later, Kamari died from the injuries.

If that's the bitch made sperm donor up there, looks like he's being charged as well for knowing his newborn was being abused, and did NOTHING to stop it. Either that, or by placing his boy with the obviously unfit egg donor knowing she was unfit. Throw the court library on em. And get the implements.

A 24-year-old Nashville woman has been sentenced to 30 years after pleading guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the 2021 death of her 2-month-old child.
As previously reported by Clarksville Now, on Jan. 9, 2021, the infant was unresponsive with a head injury and taken to Tennova Healthcare. The child was later flown by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, and passed away from the injuries about three days later.

More than five years after the child’s death, Whitney Page Brown pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated child abuse and the lesser included charge of second-degree murder. She was sentenced to serve 30 years at 100% in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
