A 20-year-old Syracuse man has been arrested and accused of trying to “recruit” a 12-year-old who he and two other men then committed sex crimes against, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
Roderick Pugh, 20, drove to Oneida County, where he met the child and took her to a motel near, deputies said.
At the motel in DeWitt, Pugh “engaged in a criminal sex act” with the 12-year-old and solicited two others -- John Buda, 38, and Robert Noble, 49 -- to do the same.
Deputies began investigating the incident on Dec. 3, when DeWitt police found the child alone in a motel room, deputies said.
All three men have been arrested and arraigned. Pugh’s bail was set at $50,000 and his bond was set at $100,000 bond. Buda and Noble each had their bail and bond set at $20,000 and $40,000, respectively.
