A mother of twins was arrested after her one-year-old daughter died from severe head injuries.

The court affidavit says Tiffani Paul called 911 on February 18th and said her one-year-old daughter was struggling to breathe.

Paul has twins--one boy and one girl--and she told police the girl was the difficult baby and cried the most.

She originally told police that the baby slipped in the bathtub and hit her head on a towel rack and she said that a few days later the one-year-old fell face first on a toy fire truck.

Police say that the baby's injuries could not come that so they interviewed Paul again and her story changed. This time she told them she dropped the baby down 5 to 6 steps.

Later she changed the story again telling police that she threw the one-year-old into a wall and waited weeks to call for help.

Police say when they asked Paul why she would do that she responded "I don't know. I'm just tired."

I just wish more folks would help these people out. I have a completely normal friend and he and his wife have a 1yr old and a 6 yr old. They were looking run down...worn out. So I took the kids last weekend. Everyone wins...and my 15 yr old daughter is more afraid than ever of getting pregnant!
 
Condoms, birth control, and Plan B pills need to be easily accessible and FREE. Not just for people like me who have health insurance that will pay for it. I'm in a much better position to deal with a pregnancy should something happen. This person clearly was not. She's struggling with her current kids to the point of nonchalantly slamming them into the wall or throwing them down the stairs to shit them up, and the bitch is already pregnant AGAIN.

People without a solid financial foundation and a strong support system (family etc. that can help in meaningful ways) need to have an easier way to avoid this.

Abstinence-only education and the political wars on abortion rights and Planned Parenthood are creating this societal monster, and it really sucks.

They are readily available. Show me where this woman wanted to avoid pregnancy, but was compelled to give birth to babies who were beyond her mothering ability.
She chose to bear more children than she could raise. She chose to screw a man who had no intention of being a day to day parent. She suffered the consequences. FAR WORSE, her babies suffered the consequences of mom's reckless fecundity.

So birth control in Tulsa Oklahoma is not accessible and free to someone who really needs it?
Planned Parenthood its available in Tulsa.

Is this woman's abuse of her baby due to her own choices or the lack of services.?
How do we know whether she aware of available services and chose childbirth anyway for her own ends? Maybe she is pro -life or just wanted babies of her own and her babies suffered from mom's stress and incompetence.
Pro-choice also means potentially choosing a relentless cycle of birth whether you are ready to deal with it or not
"Pro-choice" doesn't mean a women would automatically choose birth prevention when given a choice. Plenty choose birth despite crappy insecure circumstances.

This is why I'm pro-life ... Abortions isn't the go to for birth control, and because they don't see it as an option, they're generally more responsible with their bodies. They make avoiding unwanted pregnancy a priority.
 
Police say Paul is six months pregnant.

"Very frightening she's pregnant again," said Corporal Mark Kraft, Tulsa Police Child Crisis Unit.

They say when she was arrested, Paul said she was having contractions so was taken to the hospital before being booked into jail for child abuse murder and child neglect.

Police say the little girl was on life support as soon as she arrived at the hospital and never regained brain activity due to massive head trauma, a cracked skull and bleeding in her brain and eyes.

Police say Paul did try to get some help a couple of days earlier.

"She'd taken the child to the hospital on Saturday with the contusion, but the doctors there released her and didn't call us or anything," Kraft said.

The mom may get a plea deal since the newer article states the mother did take the child to the hospital.

I doubt she gave an honest account of what happened to the baby but I am disheartened that no one at the hospital contacted DHS.
