Philadelphia authorities say that a man killed his wife and injured their teenage son during a wild stabbing attack witnessed by the couple's children on Christmas morning.

Police were called to the scene just before 3.30am on Wednesday.

There they found the victim, 35, outside suffering from multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. The woman was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead.

When police arrived, they found the woman's husband standing over her. He was immediately taken into custody.

Officers then found the 14-year-old teen inside the home with stab wounds to his thigh. He has been taken to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.

Police believe that an altercation started inside the couple's home and spewed out onto the street.

The couple share six children that were inside the home and range from ages 8 to 16.

Authorities say that one of the children retrieved the murder weapon - a butcher knife with a 10-inch blade - and took it into the house to prevent any more injuries. The knife was found in a second floor bedroom.

The children identified the man as the stabbing suspect.

'(They) said the 33-year-old male stabbed the 35-year-old female inside the property, chased her outside, and continued to stab her when she was outside,' Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

All of the children were taken to police headquarters, where they were interviewed.

'We believe all of them witnessed the incident, or at least part of the incident,' Small added.

Damn, at the same time I started my morning workout, this damn dude decided to stab the mother of his 6 kids to death! WTF? Just why? Now those kids have no parents anymore and it's all the more tragic it happened on a day where all kids are excited to get up and find out what Santa brought them!

Here ya go, yet another Christmas Murder.
Police identified the man they say fatally stabbed his girlfriend in front of children, also injuring the woman’s 14-year-old son, in their Olney home Christmas morning.
Josue Quino was arrested Wednesday at about 3:25 a.m. and charged with murder, attempted murder, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, simple assault, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, and possessing instruments of crime. There was no attorney listed in online court records for Quino.

Thanks @Faery108. More details we didn't have before.

@myra manes is a good guesser.

City names are good. So are neighborhood names, street names, neighbor's names, or any other unusual word or name.

ETA: Duplicate threads are much less of a problem than no posts is. Once both threads are on the screen, it is literally three mouse clicks to merge them. Keep posting and keep updating.

Imagine those kids going to bed that night, excited to wake up and see what Santa brought them, then waking to this in the middle of the night instead.
He needs to rot for forever ruining December 24th and 25th for those kids. They will never not be tortured on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Corruption of minors? I bet he made the 14y old his drinking buddy that night. Maybe because she didnt want to and then it escalated if she tried to get him to finish up and come to bed. Or the kid did.
One thing I would absolutely bet on was he was abusing her for years. Abusers end uo despising their victims so much they will kick them in the head with as much feeling as kicking a stone down a driveway
