According to court documents, Taleeya Bird Horse and Leslie Bobtail Bear had a baby who required special care, including a feeding tube.

The couple admits skipping appointments with specialists, not feeding her properly and putting off medical care when their daughter developed a rash and open sores.
Bird Horse was given 3 years of probation and Bobtail Bear is serving 9 months in the federal prison system.

I'll bet nobody ever thought they'd see those words put together in one sentence.

I wanna sing it to "Old McDonald had a farm".

I know I shouldn't make fun, they hurt a baby, but damn, people when you got names like that, you need to keep your nose down and your face out of the papers.

I’ve been through something similar with my nephew who had specific feeding issues, and trying to get proper support felt like hitting a wall. What helped a bit was getting a carers card uk — it made things easier when dealing with medical professionals and gave me access to small perks that really added up. It felt like someone finally acknowledged I was doing essential care work.

My younger son had feeding issues, but way back in the mid 80's, the answer was to work harder and get over it. We tried breast milk, every formula on the market, and goat's milk, he threw up every bit of it, then tried weening him off milk and feeding him higher calorie soft food, he threw it up, but it all stopped when he was about 18 months old and he's been fine since then. I don't get it but it happened. He'll be 41 in December, he still lives. But he's worked at Walmart for 23 years, so pray for him.

Are we praying for him that he works at Walmart?

I gave Mom and Dad a break and decided to accept the goat's milk. It's a good thing my "reasoning" wasn't too developed then, I'd gag at the thought now! :shame:
