A Fond du Lac woman has entered an Alford plea for her role in a wolf-pack themed sexual relationship which led to sex crimes against a six-year-old girl.

Ellen Neumann, 41, entered an Alford plea on Feb. 14 after charges of failure to protect the child from the sex crimes were amended to two counts of neglecting a child resulting in great bodily harm, according to court records.

Neumann and two others were charged in connection to the wolf-pack case which first surfaced when a citizen concerned for the welfare of the girl reported hearing Neumann yell “You little (expletive). I wish you would just die,” at the six-year-old to the police in August 2017.

Police then learned Neumann, Shane Berg, 42, and Tory Tuinstra, 19, were involved in what Tunistra described as a dominant/submissive relationship, with Berg called the “master wolf.” Dog collars were worn by the threesome, and six-year-old was also made to wear a collar, according to the criminal complaint.

The child told law enforcement that Berg and Tuinstra sexually assaulted her from June 2016 to August 2017, and said that Berg owned her, according to the complaint. The girl also said Neumann knew what was happening, had forced her to watch Berg and Neumann have sex and said social workers beat children and take them to a home where they are beaten if they are bad, according to court records.

Tunistra pleaded guilty to second degree sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 13 years in prison, as well as 15 years of extended supervision in February 2018. Berg received 18 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision for his guilty plea of second degree sexual assault of a child in March 2018.

A Fond du Lac County judge sentenced a 42-year-old Fond du Lac woman to 10 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision on two felony counts of neglecting a child for her role in sex crimes involving a six-year-old Fond du Lac girl.

Two other charges against Ellen Neumann were read into the record and dismissed.

Neumann is one of three people that were charged for sex crimes involving the girl. Shane Berg and Tory Tuinstra, both of Fond du Lac, were convicted of child sex assault and got long prison sentences. According to a criminal complaint Neumann forced the child to watch as Neumann and Berg had sex.
