Sentenced: 2YO Found In Lookout Motel Room W/ Serious Head Injury, 2 Losers & Meth

Two people are facing a child neglect charge after Fayette County deputies said a 2 year old was found to have possibly been severely abused.

Miranda Lilly, 34, and Jesse Springstead, 35, were arrested and now each face a child neglect creating risk of serious injury charge, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. More charges could be added.

Deputies were called to the Hillcrest Motel in Lookout on a health and welfare check for the 2 year old. They found the toddler with a serious head injury and other signs of possible abuse and neglect, the release said.

Lilly and Springstead are accused of using methamphetamine while the child was in the room.

The 2 year old was transferred to a Charleston hospital due to the severity of the child's condition, the release said.
