2 ugly bitches with ugly names

Tiakalya Hendrix, 21, and Taquida Hendrix, 31, who are sisters, were arrested Tuesday, charged with second-degree murder and first-degree arson for the fire that killed 5-year-old Malakai Stovall and injured two firefighters.
The investigation found the pair used a flammable substance to light the front porch of the home on fire around 2 a.m. July 29, trapping Stovall on the second floor before he was rescued.
Stovall was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital with burns to more than 75% of his body, but he died from his injuries days later.
Stovall's 19-year-old babysitter, who was in the home at the time of the fire, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation.

Two firefighters were hurt at the scene and remain out of work as they continue to recover, according to Rochester Police Captain Frank Umbrino.

"Malakai and his family had absolutely nothing to do with the tragedy that occurred," Umbrino said. "They had no connection to anything that may have precipitated in the setting of the house on fire."

Stovall's mom, Brianna Akers, shared a statement with 13WHAM:

Heart wrenching tragedy. Malakai was at home with a babysitter, just being himself and these two bitches set his house on fire, how is that his mother's fault?

Dear Ms. Akers, I hope you heal enough to be able to enjoy your memories of a special little boy.

I hope the two bitches get a slap down in prison every day. Tho what I really want is for somebody to set their hair on fire, with all the product on it, it would likely burn for a while.

A New York woman who set the wrong house on fire in retaliation for an alleged attack on her dad, killing a 5-year-old boy who was asleep inside, was found guilty Thursday of murder and arson.
It took Monroe County jurors just 30 minutes — 15 on Wednesday and 15 on Thursday — to convict Taquida Hendrix, 31, of second-degree murder and first-degree arson for the July 2024 house fire in Rochester that took Malakai Stovall's life, according to local NBC affiliate WHEC.
Hendrix reportedly showed no emotion as the verdict was read Thursday following the brief deliberation by jurors, per WHEC. Her own sister, Tiakayla Hendrix, 21, testified against the woman during her trial last week after accepting a plea deal for her involvement, which included riding with Taquida Hendrix to Malakai's home. A third defendant, Roy Chambers, was with the siblings and wanted to help them get revenge for an alleged attack on the Hendrixes' father earlier in the day, prosecutors said.
The trio thought a person involved in the alleged attack lived at Malakai's home, but it turned out they had the wrong house.

"The sister of the defendant confirmed our theory of this case, and that is that the defendant is the one who set this fire," said Assistant District Attorney Kevin Sunderland during Taquida Hendrix's trial, according to local NBC affiliate WHAM. "She poured the liquid that was ignited outside of the home of the victim, and she's the reason why this happened," Sunderland said.
Flames ripped through Stovall's house on July 28 at around 2 a.m. after Taquida Hendriz poured gasoline on the two-story residence and set it ablaze. Tiakayla Hendrix and Chambers kept a lookout, according to prosecutors. Malakai, who was tucked into bed on the second floor, was severely injured in the fire and died several days later at a local hospital.
Tiakayla Hendrix and Chambers were each charged with murder and arson, but they agreed to plea deals last month on the arson charge in exchange for their testimony against Taquida Hendrix, according to prosecutors. Tiakayla Hendrix was accused of purchasing the lighter used to spark the fire, but she did not take part in setting it.

According to her lawyer, "She certainly did not know there was a child inside that building at the time," per WHAM. "She had no role in actually setting the fire itself," the lawyer said.

Five-year-old Malakai Stovall’s laughter was silenced in a fire set for revenge, leaving his family devastated and searching for answers a year later.
Tiakayla Hendrix was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Roy Chambers received 9 years for their roles in setting a Portland Avenue duplex on fire in July 2024 — a fire that claimed the life of Stovall, who was at home with his babysitter. Both had previously pleaded guilty to second-degree arson.
Prosecutors said Hendrix and her sister, Taquida Hendrix, were seeking revenge after their father was physically assaulted. Chambers worked with them to set fire to the home of the alleged attackers, but the wrong side of the duplex was targeted, resulting in the death of Stovall.
Stovall’s mother, Brianna Akers delivered emotional victim statements in court, detailing the pain of their loss over the last year.

“They destroyed my happiness,” Akers said tearfully, explaining that day to day tasks are now difficult for her. “I would never wish this on my worst enemy.”
Chambers and Hendrix both issued apologies to the family in court.

“I am sorry truly. It was never my intention to hurt anybody,” said Hendrix.
Taquida Hendrix, convicted of second-degree murder, first-degree arson, and second-degree assault, was scheduled to be sentenced Monday, but her hearing has been delayed pending a Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJ) application. She will return to court on January 6, 2026.

A New York woman who poured gas on a random house and set it ablaze in 2024, killing a 5-year-old boy sleeping on the second floor, got hit with a maximum sentence Wednesday for murder and other charges. The woman said she unleashed the fire attack in retaliation for an alleged assault on her dad — admitting afterward that she targeted the wrong home.
"I believe what Taquida Hendrix chose to do that day is not forgivable, is not redeemable, and was just wrong in every way," said Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Sunderland in a statement at Hendrix's sentencing, according to local CBS affiliate WROC.
"There was no mercy, no reprieve for my grandson," victim Malakai Stovall's grandmother, Karen Mitchell, told the judge. "She's responsible for the heinous crime that took Kai Kai's life in the most horrible way imaginable. We humbly ask that she is given a sentence equal to the immense suffering she caused."
Hendrix, 33, was convicted in September of second-degree murder, first-degree arson and second-degree assault for the July 2024 fire. She was sentenced Wednesday to serve 25 years to life in prison for the murder and arson charges, along with seven years for the assault charge and five years of post-release supervision. Sunderland said the punishment was "absolutely appropriate."
"She didn't show any remorse at all," Malakai's mother, Brianna Akers, said in court, according to WROC. "I would like her to get life in prison without parole. This has been the worst experience of my life. I hope no one in this courtroom ever has to experience this."
Taquida Hendrix chose to remain silent at her sentencing after being advised to do so by her attorney, who provided a brief statement.
