Officials report police responded to a home for a call of an unresponsive infant.

The boy's mother, identified in paperwork as Megan Ramsey, 24, told police during an interview that she left the infant unsupervised in a bathtub for several minutes. She continued to say the bathtub had running water, and several toys in it, police say.

Ramsey told police she was downstairs speaking with her mother while the infant was in the tub.

The child was kept intubated for about 30 days with brain injuries before the decision was made to end all life-saving measures, officials confirm.
