Brandon King, 32, was charged with theft of property after a Walgreens employee reported him to officers for neglecting to pay for his gummy bears and case of hard lemonade.
On October 8th, Metro Nashville Police officers were informed about a shoplifting suspect at the nearby Walgreens that had neglected to pay for his Mike’s Hard Lemonades and Haribo Goldbears Gummies. A Walgreens employee pointed out Brandon King who had been reported to have shoplifted at this location multiple times in the past.
When officers caught Brandon, he was brought back to the Walgreens and two employees confirmed he was the one who stole the items. Soon after being read his rights, he admitted to stealing the items due to the fact that he only had two dollars and could not afford the eleven dollar purchase.
King is in jail in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
