Rocky Point Woman's Home Overrun With Rats, Both Dead & Alive

Lori Curley is facing charges after 200 rats, “both alive and dead,” were found in her home, according to court documents.

Documents describe a “strong stench of urine, feces and decay throughout the house with poorly circulated air.”

On Monday, two rats were visible on the front porch of the home. It’s unclear how many remain at the house. Packages were piling up in front of the now-condemned home and garbage was on the lawn.

According to court documents, Curley’s 3-year-old grandson lived in the house for several weeks in “unsanitary conditions.” In December, the child was captured on body camera footage, the documents state, “wearing just a diaper, sitting and walking throughout the home which had floors covered in rat feces and urine. Rats were observed in the video freely walking throughout the residence.”

These appear to be pet rats, not the run of the mill sewer rats we get in NY. I guess if rodents are allowed to roam they’re also going to bone lol
