The Rexburg Police Department released photos Saturday afternoon of the mother and stepfather of two children who have been missing and are believed to be in serious danger.

Lori Vallow is the mother of 7-year-old Joshua Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan. Vallow recently married Chad Daybell and both are now considered “persons of interest” in connection to the disappearance of the children, according to Rexburg Police Capt. Gary Hagen.

Joshua and Tylee have not been seen since September and investigators want to speak with Vallow and Daybell. The parents are no longer communicating with law enforcement.

“They (originally) told us several stories about where the children are, but when we investigate, the children don’t exist where they say they should,” Rexburg Police Chief Shane Turman told EastIdahoNews.com Friday. “We don’t know where they are at, but we think they are in pretty serious danger.”

Joshua is a 7-year-old with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 4 feet tall and weighs 50 pounds. Tylee is a 17-year-old with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Idaho police are searching for two children who were never reported missing by their mother or the man she married a few weeks ago after his wife was found dead.

Rexberg police said Saturday they want to question Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell in the disappearance of Vallow's son Joshua Vallow, 7, and her daughter Tylee Ryan, 17, but don't know where they are after they abruptly vacated their residence and left town.

Joshua and Tylee were last seen in September. Police discovered they were missing during an investigation into the Oct. 19 death of Tammy Daybell, Daybell’s 49-year-old wife.

Boudreaux said his wife Melani, Lori's niece, followed her aunt in joining a 'cult' with Chad, a self-proclaimed Latter-day Saint author who has written books detailing the end of the world, around 18 months ago.

It's a Mormon offshoot cult. The new hubby is an author who writes mostly religious doomsday books. The seven year old boy is adopted and turned out to be autistic.

This will not end well.

Fucking mormons.

Never surprising when they commit crimes like this. Never. One of the most nutter religions out there.

There's a slim chance they killed all these other folks cuz they were standing in the way or could somehow disrupt their nutter mormon plans. But chances are it's full batshit situation and they all murder-suicided

And holy shit that daily.uk site is pretty much worthless now, the amount of ads and the load time renders it essentially completely unusable. My god what trash.

Im curious if this deceased bro was in the cult too. I dont believe for a second it was mere self defense when he murdered the former husband.

It appears that Chad and Lori are alive, they now have an attorney speaking for them.
... an attorney issued a statement on their behalf calling them “loving” and “devoted,” according to a report.

The Idaho attorney says he was in contact with Chad Daybell, 51, and Lori Vallow, 46, but has no information on the whereabouts or welfare of Vallow’s two missing children ....

“Chad Daybell was a loving husband and has the support of his children in this matter,” attorney Sean Bartholick of Rexburg, Idaho, said, according to the news outlet. “Lori Daybell is a devoted mother and resents assertions to the contrary. We look forward to addressing the allegations once they have moved beyond speculation and rumor.”

Reports have quoted members of Vallow’s extended family as saying that Vallow joined a “cult” with Daybell, a self-proclaimed Latter-day Saint author known for his religious books detailing the end of the world.
....

Looking at the "Preparing A People" website, it doesn't appear so much a "cult" as it does a "prepper" site. Looks like conferences are what they mostly do. I can't fault anyone preparing for extended loss of modern services, though the religious angle is relatively disturbing.

Here's a note on the front page of the "Preparing A People" website about these missing people.
On A Very Sad Note...
In October, Nancy and I were out of the country for several weeks on a long needed family trip. We were deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Tammy Daybell, the wife of Chad Daybell, but could not attend the funeral. We considered Chad Daybell a good friend, but have since learned of things we had no idea about. As many of you know, Chad was a speaker at some of our Preparing A People Events and appeared on several of our "Preparing A People Podcasts". We also produced a Series for Chad, “Glimpses through the Veil.” We recently learned of Chad's new marriage to Lori Vallow a couple weeks after Tammy Daybell died. Lor Vallow was a contributor on the "Time to Warrior Up" podcast with Jason Mow and Melanie Gibb. And she also co-hosted the "Feel the Fire" Podcast with Melanie Gibb. We did not know Lori as well as we thought we knew Chad.

In light of current concerning media reports and ongoing criminal investigations regarding the recent death of Lori Vallow's previous husband in Arizona, and the sudden death of Chad Daybell's previous wife in Idaho, and with new reports of Lori's missing children and the death of Lori's brother-in-law, and the unknown whereabouts of Chad and Lori, we feel it inappropriate to promote any media content that may feature or contain references to either Chad Daybell or Lori Vallow.

Our hearts go out to all Chad and Lori's family and friends who are now affected by this ongoing confusing tragedy. We pray for the truth of whatever happened to be quickly manifest, and we pray for the safe return of Lori's 2 beautiful children.

Sincerely, Michael & Nancy James

I have a feeling this is more a love triangle/quadrangle than a "cult" murder/suicide bullshit. I'm not saying that death of Chad Daybell's wife, Tammy Daybell, and Lori Vallow's husband, Charles Vallow, aren't fucking suspicious. I don't believe their deaths were related to their so-called "cult". In fact, I would not be surprised that they were murdered so Chad and Lori could be together, but questions were now being asked about their spouses deaths and they got scared, took the kids, and ran.

Damn that's gonna be lame if it was just a run of the mill, "let's kill our spouses to be together" bit of bullshit instead of creepo doomsday religious nutter cult craziness. I fuckign LOVE cults. Always wanted to join one, just to experience the batshittery first hand, except they far too often end up bankrupting or killing you. No thanks to that, i just want a taste of the madness, not to wreck my life forever.

The brothers death and the entire aspect of it still leaves some huge questions though

Cheer up Jack, it may be both.

"She was 100% into the end of times, the end of the world and she would tell me no you really gotta start preparing for the end of the world. You gotta start getting your stuff together. She would order stuff all the time she would tell me I needed to read all these books," her friend said.

The books written by Chad were specifically a fictional series called "Standing in Holy Places." Her friend said, "Those books she got really obsessed with and she started buying me those books too. She must have gotten close to him from his books."

If the kids are fine, just send a photo of them holding today's newspaper. It's old fashioned but it still works.

Mom has been a piece of shit for a while.

Read elsewhere, years ago the bio dad of the girl was given custody and this bitch mom up and swooped out with the kids and her new hubby(the dead one) to Hawaii. Refused to abide by the custody order, made threats that if the bio-dad pursued anything they would make up stories of abuse to fuck him over. Some former family friends of the kid have spoken out, supposedly the mom was a real piece of shit, would "homeschool" the kids and justl et em sleep all day without actually doin any schoolin, and a major reason for the parental kidnapping was cuz she didnt want to have to pay child support to the ex.

Kids might actually be alive and well if the above is true, sounds like this trash is used to skipping town and keeping kids away in a hurry

Suspected doomsday cult mom won’t talk to cops about her missing kids anymore
Idaho investigators on Monday said the mother of two children missing since September knows what happened to them but is refusing to cooperate with authorities.

The Rexburg Police Department believes the Lori Vallow Daybell’s children, Joshua Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 17, are not with her or her husband, Chad Daybell, according to a news release.

“We know that the children are not with Lori and Chad Daybell, and we also have information indicating that Lori knows either the location of the children or what has happened to them,” the release says. “Despite having this knowledge, she has refused to work with law enforcement to help us resolve this matter. It is astonishing that rather than work with law enforcement to help us locate her own children, Lori Vallow has chosen instead to leave the state with her new husband.”

So they've been trying to get the long running story established that there either were no kids or the kids have been dead/out of the picture for some time already.

If you're planning on making some kids dissapear, that'd be one donkeybrained way to try and get away with it. Completely absurd of course.

Your "uh oh" link doesnt lead anywhere btw.

I need a chart to keep track of all these people,. PS: jack, the UH OH link was fixed.

A relative of two missing children with ties to Arizona fears for his life. He claims [Lori Vallow] heavily influenced his ex-wife through a religious group.
So much so that she left Arizona for Idaho just like Lori Vallow after an attempt on the man's life failed.

"The grandparents of a 7-year-old boy who disappeared with his half-sister two months ago offered a $20,000 reward on Tuesday and appealed for the children’s mother—who ran off with a doomsday writer—to reveal what she knows."

L I N K !!

"As authorities and the FBI search for the children, Lori's oldest son, Colby Ryan is turning to Youtube to appeal to his mom.

"Mom, I want to talk to you like you're sitting across from me," he said in the video. "I'm so hurt. I'm so hurt by all of this... Show them on Facetime, just show them on Facetime to the police. That would be a lot better. I don't know what else to tell you to do other than just know this is the right thing to do.""

Divorce documents filed by Charles in Maricopa County Superior Court last February provide insight into Lori Vallow's apparent state of mind months before his death and her children's disappearance.
Lori claimed she was 'a god'
Charles claimed Lori Vallow didn't want anything to do with him or Joshua "because she had a more important mission to carry out," according to the court documents. Charles said Lori claimed she was "a god assigned to carry out the work of the 144,000 at Christ's second coming in July 2020," the court documents said.
She also told Charles that she would kill him if he got in her way and that she had "an angel there to help her dispose of the body," court documents said. Shortly after her alleged threats, Charles took out an order of protection against Lori Vallow, according to court documents.
Charles claimed that Lori Vallow had "become infatuated and, at times, obsessive about near-death experiences and spiritual visions," according to court documents. He said he attempted to get her help, however, she refused to visit a doctor because “they would discover that she is a translated being," court documents said.

Only six months until Ragnarok? Damn it, in August I'm suppose to go on an Alaskan cruise on the Queen Elizabeth. I wonder if the end of the world can be pushed back a couple of months?
Maybe you could rebook to before August? Would be a shame to lose a deposit.

I know the number 144,000 has meaning to the Jehovah's Witnesses. I was not aware it did to Mormons as well.

Why wouldn't whacky end time Mormons go for 144,000? They do read the bible and believe in Jesus Christ.

Julie Rowe, a self-described “visionary” and “energy worker” who says she has long been friends with Daybell, uploaded a video on her website defending him and claiming his innocence in the children’s disappearances and the death of his previous wife. She said Daybell repeatedly told her he had a vision of Tammy’s death. Rowe claimed to have the same vision.

“My angels tell me that Chad Daybell is being falsely accused of the suspicious death of his wife,” she said in the video. “I have talked to Tammy’s spirit.”

One would think a visionary and energy worker with angels on speed dial would be able to find out where the children are.
