A man armed with a wrench attacked a pregnant woman in a shocking bout of road rage in the Bronx, surveillance video released Friday by the NYPD shows.

Footage captured the 26-year-old woman backing away from her car on June 6 as the man stalks toward her and grabs her arm while repeatedly raining blows down on her head.

The woman’s white sedan was stopped on Grand Concourse near E. 188th St. and is blocking the man’s BMW, a city bus and the rest of the street traffic.

Police have not said what the argument was that sparked the violence.

A passerby appears to try to intervene, but the brute continues his attack as the woman braces for further hits.

The assailant halted his attack after a few seconds and then got back in his car as a crowd gathered around him. The victim, who suffered a severe cut to her head from the multiple blows, climbed on the hood of his car to prevent him from fleeing.

The man tries to get out of the tight spot, driving up on the curb and clipping the victim’s car as onlookers started to kick his vehicle.

The suspect is still being sought.

Estrella Guzman tells Eyewitness News that she was on her way to therapy at the time due to a bad car accident a year ago.
She said that while she was driving, she wouldn't let another driver enter her lane. She said he started following her and become aggressive.

"I didn't let him go into the lane, so he proceeded to follow me," she said.

She said she didn't know what the problem was, and so she got out of her car - a decision that has changed her life.
"He doesn't say a word," she said. "He comes out with a screwdriver and attacks me."
Guzman said the man began attacking her with a screwdriver, jabbing her repeatedly in the head and then going for her neck.

"He stabbed me five times in the head," she said. "I got a scar on my head, which I'm covering."

She sustained a severe laceration to her head, but then she fought back.

"I was in shock," she said. "I didn't know how to react until I kept feeling the jabs on my neck and I started clawing at his eyes."

She then tried to get away.

"When I tried to get in my car to try and stop him, he ended up running me over," she said. "I'm literally squished in between his car and my car."

He then fled the scene in a silver BMW, and she was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital.

There, she learned she was three months pregnant.

About a week after the attack, she miscarried.

The victim said she doesn't know if it was because of the attack, but she believes it is possible due to her injuries and stress.

"I suffered injuries from the incident, back injuries, I suffered a miscarriage," she said. "It's not easy at all."

Still, she said she is staying strong and keeping hope that police will find the man and get him off the streets.

Seems the problem is obvious, no description of assailant or car?

Edit
Guess we do have car description
Silver bmw

Nobody at the time it took to beat the woman, then try to get in the car with her jumping on the hood, the crowd proceeding to kick his vehicle, then to jump the curb ever though to get the fucking Lic Plate #? That didn't occur to anyone?

“the man’s BMW”

Well that explains some things. I’ve seen the absolute worst road rage actions by guys in BMWs.
Funny how Beamer drivers are hated for being obnoxious, while Prius drivers are hated for not getting out of the way and getting on 65mph freeways at 35 mph and when they finally reach 50 on a 65, brake to change lanes
