So, yesterday Denver hosted the All Stars 2021 MLB Game at Coors Field.

On Friday, 4 people- 3 men and 1 woman were arrested after a housekeeper at The Maven hotel downtown (directly across from coors field) discovered over a dozen guns in one of the rooms. She told her supervisor, who then called police.

The Denver Police Department feared another "Las Vegas-style shooting" and served a search warrant on the 2 hotel rooms rented by the suspect. Suspect Ricardo Rodriguez rented 2 rooms, and was scheduled to check out on Friday. Friday morning he requested a longer stay AND a room with a balcony view. Police moved in quick. They found over a dozen firearms, drugs and mad ammo. They also found tactical gear and ballistic vests in the cars.

Ricardo Rodriguez, 44; Gabriel Rodriguez, 48; Richard Platt, 42; and Knoelehua Serikawa, 43, were all arrested and held on suspicion of weapons or drug offenses, or warrants from outside Denver.
I will most definitely be following this.

What a spooky situation. There was a very strong indication that they were planning a Las Vegas-style massacre at Coors Field. Or, if not, then they were too stupid to prevent anyone else to reasonable conclude and infer such. Why bring so many guns to a hotel room anyways? A gun salesman, or a person attending a gun convention, may be able to do that just fine. But these people did not appear to have an established reason for such a collection in their lodging, nor did they give anyone else reasonable expectation or notification of such.

The housekeeper did a very good thing, and probably saved many lives.
