The Huntington Police Department is searching for a three-month-old baby girl who hasn’t been seen in weeks.

According to HPD, Angel Nichole Overstreet has not been seen since approximately May 8, 2021.

Overstreet has blue eyes, dark colored hair with a reddish tint and a strawberry-shaped mark on the back of her neck.

Anyone who has information regarding Angel’s whereabouts is advised to immediately call 911.

Anyone with general information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau at 304-696-4420.

Representatives of West Virginia Child Protective Services (CPS) contacted the Police Department on Monday, May 24, stating they had been asked to follow-up with Angel’s father, Shannon Overstreet, regarding custody issues stemming from Kentucky.

CPS representatives also stated Shannon told them he had turned Angel over to CPS approximately two weeks earlier.

At this time, investigators are unable to substantiate a custody exchange between Shannon and the two described CPS workers.

The Police Department is working with CPS officials in West Virginia and Kentucky to locate Angel.

FTA - CPS representatives also stated Shannon told them he had turned Angel over to CPS approximately two weeks earlier.

The news seems to have forgotten about Shannon's more notable (for lack of a better word) google trophies -

First up in 2010 he forcibly tattooed a woman -
HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington man was jailed early Thursday on charges that he forcibly tattooed a woman at his house.

Shannon Patrick Overstreet, 27, was incarcerated at 2:20 a.m. Thursday. The Huntington Police Department charged him with felony malicious wounding. Bond was $100,000.

A Huntington Police Department incident report described the victim as a 20-year-old from Huntington.
The criminal complaint charges that Overstreet forcibly held the victim on the ground, while he intentionally carved "King Shannon" into her back.

It further charges that Overstreet filled the lacerations with ink in order to tattoo the inscription. The weapon was not listed on the police report, but it did say that a paring knife had been confiscated by police.
The criminal complaint quotes hospital staff in saying the wounds were likely permanent.
The incident occurred at 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of Madison Avenue.

Then in 2016 he was charged with assaulting his mother -
HUNTINGTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) — Huntington police said a man is facing charges after he assaulted his mother in Cabell County.

Shannon Patrick Overstreet, 27, of Huntington was charged with malicious assault and violation of a protection order, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Police said it happened about 5 p.m. last Tuesday at a home in the 1700 block of Madison Avenue. Police said the woman had a domestic violence petition against her son and saw him enter her home. Police said she confronted her son who began pushing her, which caused her to fall. Police said the suspect punched her in the face several times while she was on the ground. Police said the victim was unable to get away until her dog got between them.

Overstreet was taken to the Western Regional Jail and bond was set at $100,000 for each charge.

This asswipe even has an account at fubar(dot)com

Huntington Police say they are very concerned for the safety of a missing 3-month-old girl.

HPD held a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Angel Nichole Overstreet has not been seen since approximately May 8, 2021. She has blue eyes, dark-colored hair with a reddish tint and a strawberry-shaped mark on the back of her neck.

She was last known to be with her father, Shannon Overstreet, as of May 1, according to HPD.

Shannon Overstreet was taken into custody Monday on two battery warrants unrelated to the missing infant. He is not considered a suspect at this time in connection with her disappearance, police say.

This week, detectives have conducted search warrants at Shannon Overstreet’s mother’s home in Huntington where he has been known to stay. They also searched his vehicle and several digital devices.

HPD is also working with Kentucky State Police to execute a search warrant at a property he owns in Olive Hill. In addition, they’re working with the United States Marshals Service to locate any witness who may have knowledge on the location of the child. Huntington Police are also working with the FBI and the West Virginia State Intelligence Fusion Center.

There is no specific evidence of foul play at this time, police say.

Police say they don’t believe Overstreet’s mother was involved in the child’s disappearance.

Oh FFS. There is a term I don’t use lightly, but this fucktard (okay, I don’t use that one lightly either) is a fucking “douche nozzle”. Just shoot him, really. Couldn’t be done to a nicer guy.

Two or three WV front page posts out of the last few days..we are apparently trying way too hard to bring attention to our less-populated and quiet little state. SMH, am I really the only (self-proclaimed) non-inbred here? Well me and Turd_Ferguson?

The father of a three-month-old child was arrested on Monday, May 24 on charges of wounding and battery in the town of Huntington. Shannon Overstreet's daughter Angel Nichole Overstreet has been missing since May 1.
The police did not inform further details regarding the charges against Shannon but did confirm that they were not related to his missing daughter.
The authorities are at the moment referring to Shannon as 'person of interest' in the missing infant's case.
It was revealed that the officials are in touch with the baby's mother who is said to have not been in the same area when the baby went missing. Information regarding the mother was not released by the authorities.

New details have been released in the search of a pond in connection with a missing baby case.

Angel Nichole Overstreet has not been seen since early May, and law enforcement officers from several agencies have been searching a pond for evidence in connection with her disappearance. Investigators say the pond is located on a property owned by the baby’s father, Shannon Overstreet. Police say Overstreet is the last person to have been with her.

According to the Huntington Police Department, the pond was drained on Tuesday. They started searching the pond on Wednesday. Police say they are taking buckets of silt and contents at the bottom of the pond to look for any materials that may not be consistent with what would typically be found at the bottom of a pond.

Police say this was a planned search and part of a thorough investigation. The search is not in response to any tip that law enforcement agencies have received.

Police say they should have a better idea on Friday of whether the search will wrap up this week or continue into early next week.

I just hope they find her, one way or another. And I’m not sure why I think this, but I have a nagging thought that, while the main suspect is totally capable of killing a child and in the very least is a douchebag who deserves to be locked up, it’s possible that someone else killed her and it turns out he had nothing to do with it. Like one of those occasional cases wherein there were so many horrible males in her life and who had access to her that she was just surrounded by predators. Because if her mom was so bad off that she didn’t recognize what a threat he was, or that he even had primary custody to begin with, I don’t trust that the mom would have been making good decisions about who is around her daughter, let alone that she should never have had a child with him to begin with.

The father of an infant who disappeared more than two and a half years ago has been indicted on charges related to her death.
According to the Huntington Police Department, Shannon Patrick Overstreet faces the charges of “death of a child by a parent, guardian or custodian or other persons by child abuse,” murder, and concealment of a deceased human body. The charges stem from the disappearance of his daughter Angel Overstreet in May 2021, which led to a multi-agency investigation involving agencies from both West Virginia and Kentucky as well as the FBI.
The HPD says investigators collected evidence indicating Overstreet as allegedly responsible for her death and for concealing her body.
Angel Nichole Overstreet, who was last seen in early May 2021. She was just three months old at the time. Authorities first reported that she was missing on May 25, and said her whereabouts since May 8 could not be confirmed. She was three months old at the time.
According to HPD at that time, West Virginia Child Protective Services representatives had contacted authorities saying they were following up with Angel’s father, Shannon Overstreet, on a custody issue from Kentucky. The CPS workers said he told them he turned Angel over to CPS two weeks earlier, but investigators were not able to substantiate a custody exchange.
The following day, May 26, HPD officials said they were “concerned” for Angel’s safety, however, an Amber Alert was never issued due to the amount of time she had already been missing.
The search for Angel soon spanned into Kentucky, and authorities even drained and searched a pond on her father’s property in Carter County, Kentucky, for evidence of her disappearance or even Angel herself.
According to the indictment against Overstreet, he is accused of causing her death in West Virginia and then taking her body to Kentucky. Police have not stated if Angel’s remains have ever been found. Late Friday night Kentucky State Police said in a press release: “Through a thorough and exhaustive investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered to enable the Huntington Police Department to secure an indictment for the arrest for Shannon Overstreet.” The statement was in relation to a search in June 2021 at a location in Olive Hill, though no specific location was given.
Overstreet is currently serving a sentence on unrelated charges of maliciously assaulting his mother and forgery. He was sentenced in January 2023 on the 2022 indictment.

In that court case, he is accused of allegedly grabbing the victim by her hair, dragging her through the yard and up steps and then allegedly hitting her several times in March 2021, prior to Angel’s disappearance. The complaint states when the victim went to a medical facility a couple days after the incident, medical professionals found she had a “significant brain bleed.”

Shannon Overstreet, a Huntington man accused of murdering his three-month-old daughter, was arraigned in Cabell County on Tuesday.

It was his first appearance since he was indicted last month for the 2021 death of Angel Overstreet, a missing baby.
After he pleaded not guilty to his murder, abuse and concealment charges, his arraignment veered away from typical discussions of pleas and bond and addressed a motion about marriage.

Philip Morrison, the executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys Institute, joined the hearing virtually to tell the court Overstreet has intentions of marrying a witness in the case which could prevent her from having to testify.
According to Morrison, police have intercepted calls from prison, where Overstreet is serving a sentence for an unrelated crime. The calls indicate Overstreet wants to marry the woman.

“I’m not saying it’s his intention to cut her off from us as a witness, but that would be the practical effect of it," Morrison said.
The prosecution requested that Cabell County Circuit Court Judge Paul Farrell either somehow delay the marriage or allow the woman to testify under oath in a deposition before they get married.

Farrell asked Morrison to provide any case examples where a judge could stop a wedding. Morrison told the judge he did not have any examples.
Morrison asked Overstreet when he would like to get married, and he said he was thinking of Valentine's Day but was unsure of an official date.

"I don’t want to stand in the way of true love and all of that, but during the appendices of these proceedings, we have that spousal immunity and spousal privilege statute," Morrison said. "If they get married then I can’t use her as a witness."

Overstreet's defense attorney, Kerry Nessel, said he just got the motion about delaying marriage proceedings in the early morning hours before the hearing.

Crazy like a fox.

He's making them prove their case, which is debatable anyway, but prove it without a witness, who must know something, or she wouldn't be a witness. I hope this witness is not stupid enough to married this asshole who's proved he doesn't care about his wives, girlfriends, nor even his mother. Maybe, maybe she's not that stupid.

i cannot view this article because im in the UK. Could someone share what it says please.

While I hate to copy and paste -it feels lazy and like the person doing it lacks the ability to sound intelligent -here is the content of the article:

— The father of a 3-month-old who went missing maintains the right to marry a witness for the prosecution, Cabell County Circuit Judge Paul Farrell ruled Tuesday.

thank you. I hate that i cannot read a lot of the US article. So when they get married the prosecution loses a witness. I hope the case is not relying on the one witness.

The judge in the case has ordered that the witness give a deposition at an evidentiary hearing before the nuptials can take place.
