In a Facebook post, the Stoughton Police Department said it received reports from residents who found human feces and used toilet paper in a park. Authorities said they initially used trail cameras to "establish a pattern" of a person defecating in the park during the early morning hours.
The department then deployed a drone, and on Thursday morning, identified the woman believed to be responsible. The woman, who was identified as a 46-year-old Stoughton resident, was cited for indecent conduct.
In response to inquires from residents, police said the woman is not homeless.
