No Justice: Trans Child Sex Offender Too “Vulnerable & Easily Exploited” for Prison, Judge Rules

A convicted child sex offender has avoided jail after he was found to be communicating with an adolescent girl.

Police conducting a risk review at the home of Rachel Smith in July 2020 discovered that the 56-year-old convicted pedophile had been engaging in “regular contact” with a 14-year-old girl via Instagram.

Mr Smith pleaded guilty to breaching the sexual harm prevention order, and was sentenced to a three-year community order.

Explaining the sentence, Judge Robert Spragg said the transgender-identifying pedophile would be “vulnerable and easily exploited” if placed in prison.

The judge claimed that the public will be best protected by Mr Smith having added intervention from the authorities, rather than a prison sentence, as there was “nothing overtly sexual in the chats.”

The pedophile, who is male and identifies as a woman, also escaped a prison sentence in 2018 when he was convicted of making indecent photographs of children. At the time, a judge handed Mr Smith a six-month sentence suspended for two years and subjected him to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order forbidding him from having unsupervised or online contact with children under 16.

Amongst Mr Smith’s 50 prior convictions is a 1994 count of indecent assault.

Fuck him. He knew what he was doing and what it could lead to. The judge is correct, though, in saying further incarcerations would do not good. He's compulsive and will not stop offending until dead. The judge should be held to account when Smith re-offends.

50 prior convictions, why was this motherfucker free even free to commit this crime? There should be a three strike law with sex offenders, lock them up for life after the third time. If jail is too rough, than in a state psych hospital-but definitely somewhere monitored.

What the bloody hell is this world our children and grandchildren are growing up in? I’m all for rights and equal treatment, but we have traded decency and morality for this? Lock up the pedophiles- every one of them that harms a single child; if the inmates beat them, rape them or hurt their little feelings it’s no one’s fault but their own.

Children should always be protected first. Maybe if we get back to that we won’t be reading about 12 year old boys shooting babies.
