Seth Larson, 40, is a person of interest in the death of Lisa Shuler. Shuler's body was found dismembered at her home on Culver Road on May 25.
According to police, Larson and Shuler dated for 10 years and lived at the home where her body was found.
Human remains were found Monday in Durand Lake. After an investigation with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office SCUBA team, officials with the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains as belonging to Shuler.
Larson is described as 5’9” with a medium build, tattoos on both forearms, short brown hair or a shaved head, and rotting teeth. He was last seen driving a blue 2011 Nissan Juke with NY plates FTP6756.
According to Cumberland Police in Maryland, Larson was pulled over on May 25 shortly before 1 p.m. for speeding.
Larson, who was on I-68 at the time of the traffic stop, went through what was described as a "standard speeding stop." The Cumberland Police Department have been cooperating with New York State Police and are sharing any evidence they have related to Larson's stop. No dashboard camera video was available, according to police.
