Neshia Harris, 22, is charged with aggravated robbery, jail records showed.
Harris was caught on surveillance footage on Jan. 16 knocking on the door of a home in the 100 block of Banbridge Avenue, in the city's Southeast Side, San Antonio police said.
When the woman answered the door, Harris struck her multiple times in her head and body. The woman "sustained serious injuries" as a result of the beating, according to Harris' arrest affidavit.
Harris fled the scene in the woman's 2011 Toyota Corolla before police arrived, the affidavit says.
When police canvassed the area, they discovered the car Harris had arrived in and left behind, according to the affidavit. Officers contacted the car's owner, who gave identified Harris for them.
The affidavit did not contain information on whether the two women knew each other or suggest a motive.
Harris' bail was set at $75,000, jail records showed.
