Police arrested 25-year-old Keith Swanson for homicide of a 22-month-old girl. According to MNPD, Swanson's girlfriend was the child's aunt and legal guardian.

Police say the 22-month-old died just after arriving at the hospital.

According to MNPD, Youth Services detectives observed numerous bruises to the child's face, head and chest. An autopsy examination showed internal scalp lacerations, hemorrhaging and a swollen brain. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma.
