A Texas mother has been arrested for allegedly buying ammunition and tactical gear for her son who she knew was planning "mass targeted violence" at his school, officials said.

Prosecutors say Ashley Pardo, 33, was aware of her son's obsession with violence, and "intentionally and knowingly aided" his violent goals in exchange for him babysitting his younger siblings.

On Monday, the student showed up to Jeremiah Rhodes Middle School in San Antonio "wearing a mask, camouflage jacket and tactical pants but left shortly after", police said. He was later detained off-campus.

The mother was arrested the same day after the boy's grandmother called police to say Ms Pardo had bought the gun for him.
On Saturday, the 13-year-old boy's grandmother walked into his bedroom to find him playing with live ammunition and a hammer, according to a police affidavit.

She also found a homemade explosive made from a firework, on which the boy had written the name of an Australian man who attacked two mosques in New Zealand in 2019.

The grandmother reportedly told police that Ms Pardo had taken him to a military surplus store to purchase gear, including ammunition, a tactical vest and a helmet.
Police said that the student, who has not been named, told his grandmother on Monday that he was "going to be famous" before leaving for school.

The boy showed up at school "wearing a mask, camouflage jacket and tactical pants", but left shortly after, authorities said. Investigators and school officials did not know where the student was for a period of time, the court document states.

"The student was detained off-campus and charged with terrorism," the school said in a note to parents. The note added that he had been investigated for "some posts the student made online".

This so called “mother” is obviously just garbage. Not so much by her blatant calls for attention by her ugly homemade tats, but by being such an offensive idiot and actually raising a child that she actively helped to storm a school in hopes of having mass casualties. Exterminate her and her sick kid.

A 13-year-old boy accused of planning a mass attack at Rhodes Middle School earlier this year received two years probation in a treatment facility on Friday.
Bexar County Juvenile Court Judge William “Cruz” Shaw outlined a number of conditions that the teen must follow, in addition to his probation:
  • Upon release, the teen will have three to six months of intensive supervised probation
  • A 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew
  • Attend school with good behavior and no unexcused absences
  • Individual family counseling
  • Random drug testing
  • 100 hours of community service
  • Random searches of his person, rooms and electronics
  • No posts of illegal activity on social media
  • Provide all screen names and passwords for social media
  • No contact with Rhodes Middle School
  • No possession or access to ammunition, weapons or anything flammable
  • No access to lighters or matches
The Bexar County District Attorney’s Office has also dismissed a possession of a prohibited weapon charge against the teen.

The teen previously faced two counts of arson. However, on Friday, the state waived one of the counts.

His mama is still facing charges for helping him and for this -

Ashley Pardo, 33, was arrested Friday on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence, according to a warrant obtained by KSAT.
The charge comes less than three months following her first arrest on May 12 for aiding in commission of terrorism, court records show.

According to the warrant, which was issued on Thursday, photos were found on Pardo’s phone of her pointing a shotgun at the head of an infant, estimated to be 11 months old.
In March 2023, Pardo sent the photo on a messaging platform to the infant’s biological father, telling him that the infant was being a “brat,” San Antonio police said in the affidavit.

She texted him, “Tell her to keep being bad,” according to the document.
The warrant states that in the photo, Pardo appears to have her finger on the trigger guard as the infant reaches towards the barrel of the gun.
