Around 10 a.m. on April 11, deputies responded to a 911 call involving a 16-month-old boy. Deputies along with emergency medical services met the mother with the child on Alabama Highway 24.

On April 12, Sheriff’s investigators arrested and charged Jordan Ellan Harmon, 26 of Trinity, with aggravated child abuse. Harmon is the mother of the child.

Investigators confirm the child died just one day later on April 13 at Children’s Hospital.

Harmon, allegedly refused to have her 15-month old son treated for injuries to his head, arm and groin area on at least three separate occasions, records showed.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man on murder and child abuse charges.

Jail records show Travius Sebastian Coleman was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

He faces one count of murder, two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of chemical endangerment of a child.

If there's a prize for the most outstanding warrants, this Florence carpenter would surely be a finalist. Travius Sebastian Coleman is wanted in the city of Florence on 33 outstanding warrants totalling 31K.

The 27 year old Coleman has a lengthy arrest record in Colbert, Lawrence, Morgan, and Lauderdale Counties. Most of his current warrants involve Domestic Violence and Failure to Appear.

Two people were arrested and charged in connection to a toddler’s death in April 2021.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said 28-year-old Travius Sebastian Coleman and 27-year-old Jordan Ellan Harmon were arrested and charged with the murder of Harmon’s 15-month-old son Emery Michael-Knox Wilson. Coleman was Harmon’s boyfriend at the time of Wilson’s death.
Wilson died at the hospital on April 13th and an autopsy was ordered to determine his cause of death.

Sheriff Max Sanders said the results of the autopsy showed Wilson died from blunt force trauma to the head, that he had several other injuries and a toxicology report showed the presence of compounds found in cannabis in his system.
Officials told News 19 Deputies responded to the intersection of Highway 24 and County Road 214 on April 11, 2021, where someone was performing CPR on a toddler. They said the child was first taken to Decatur-Morgan Hospital before being transferred to a Birmingham hospital.

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said on April 12 Harmon was charged with aggravated child abuse and taken to the Lawrence County Jail with a $60,000 bond. She was released after posting bond in September 2021.
Lawrence County Chief Deputy Brian Covington said they brought Coleman in for questioning about the results of Wilson’s autopsy on January 25. Coleman was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse, one count of chemical endangerment and murder.

Knox’s autopsy showed blunt force trauma to the head, abrasions, lacerations to the scalp, a depressed skull fracture, and a fractured left forearm.

Some people question why there was a delay in upgrading the charges even though the toddler died nine months ago.

“Of course, everybody has an answer on Facebook but it’s not the way the process works," said Sheriff Max Sanders of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office. "You have to go through the process."

The Sheriff said their work in getting justice for Knox began right when they were made aware of the abuse.

“Justice for the child started in April when we found them giving CPR in the van, and it just processed all the way through until January 25th when we got the result of the autopsy we were able to charge the mother and the boyfriend," said Sanders.

Bond has not been set for either Harmon or Coleman.

This pathetic bitch is asking for help

According to a complaint filed by an investigator in Lawrence County District Court in April on what was then an aggravated child abuse charge, Harmon refused to seek medical treatment for her son despite "serious injuries that required medical attention and treatment including ... injuries to his head, arm and groin area on at least three separate occasions."

If convicted of the charges, Coleman and Harmon face up to life in prison.

The egg had the nerve to start a JusticeForKnox FB page.

These bitches kill me thinking that the man they allow to beat on their kid will nit throw their ass under the bus when the cops come around.

I am sure she will end up saying she was abused and afraid of this man and could not protect her child from him.

Two people charged with felony murder in the death of a 15-month-old boy nearly two years ago have been indicted by a Lawrence County grand jury, according to court documents.

28-year-old Jordan Ellan Harmon and 30-year-old Travius Sebastian Coleman were dating at the time of their April 2021 arrest in connection to the death of Harmon’s son, Emery Michael-Knox Wilson.
According to court documents, Harmon and Coleman are accused of “shaking, hitting, striking, or otherwise inflicting serious injury” to the child, along with “inflicting blunt force injuries on more than one occasion.” Documents also state that the pair did “torture, willfully abuse, cruelly beat or otherwise willfully maltreat” him.

Harmon, the child’s mother, was also charged with “refusing to seek medical attention…for having serious injuries that required medical attention and treatment, including, but not excluding injuries to his head, arm and groin area on at least three separate occasions.”
Harmon was arrested on April 12 and charged with aggravated child abuse. She was released on a $60,000 bond in September 2021.
Lawrence County Sheriff Max Sanders would later confirm the autopsy results showed the child died from blunt force trauma to the head. The autopsy also revealed there were several other injuries, along with a toxicology report showing the “presence of compounds” similar to those found in cannabis in the child’s system.

Harmon and Coleman were both arrested in January 2022, following the release of the autopsy results. They were both charged with murder, aggravated child abuse and chemical endangerment of a child.
Lawrence County District Attorney Errek Jett told News 19 that despite Harmon and Coleman being indicted separately, there is a possibility they could be tried together.

“It is early in the process, but the State reserves the right to ask that the cases be consolidated under Rule 13.3 of the Alabama Rules of Criminal Procedure,” Jett explained. “If the State makes such a request and Court grants it, the defendants still have a right to ask them to be [tried separately].”

Harmon is scheduled to arrive at the Lawrence County Courthouse on April 13, 2023, the two-year anniversary of Emery Michael-Knox Wilson’s death.
