After several months of investigation, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged a man with Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child after he brought an overheated 6-year-old child to a fire station back in May.
According to investigators, Markise L. Outing came to Southern Manatee Fire Department Station 2 in Bradenton back on May 20. He was seeking medical attention for a 6-year-old girl.

Outing told paramedics that the child was his girlfriend’s daughter. She was not breathing and possibly in cardiac arrest. Medical staff said the 6-year-old had a body core temperature of 107.2 degrees. She was pronounced dead later that evening.

When interviewed by detectives, Outing said the child was over-heated from playing in a park. Citing inconsistencies in his testimony and using GPS data, detectives say they were able to determine that the child was instead in Outing’s car in the parking lot of his place of business for several house.
Deputies were also able to determine he had picked up the girl from school and drove to the parking lot around 2:45 p.m. Investigators say he left her in the car with the windows rolled up. Temperatures in the car rose to more than 115 degrees.

An autopsy determined the child died from extreme heat. Detectives are still waiting on a toxicology report to learn more about the manner of death.

I would not be surprised if the toxicology report comes back saying she has something in her system.

Mom was probably appreciative of the help this man was offering not realizing in was a death sentence for her child.

In 2018 Outing was arrested for sexual assault...

Ladies, please, please, PLEASE stop naming your baby girls Heaven, or Neveah, or Angelic or any of the other 'protected by God' names. You're just tempting fate, and it's really hard to read about it when fate comes calling, dammit... :bigtears:
