Sevens My Charm

Ruler of Minions.. and Degenerates..
I was not planning on getting the vaccination. I am actually one of the ones against it for several reasons. One of the reasons is the COVID-19 vaccinations are a crap shot like the flu vaccinations. Another reason is I know there’s not any data on long term effects of the shots in animals or humans. My biggest reason is I question the true effectiveness of the science of these vaccines. Another is I feel the push was more for a calm the masses - appease the people approach than a truly effective vaccine. Everyday it seems the news screams ‘new strains’ on COVID-19. First it was one shot, then it was two and now I see reports that it may become monthly. Where does this shit end? My mother is 70 years old and has many of the ‘high risk’ factors and I question her survival rate if she contracted the virus. Her doctor her pushed and pushed she needed the vaccinations - like every other damn vaccine she’s peddled. Having had COVID-19 and experienced the debilitating effects and now as I experience COVID-19 Syndrome my brain knows the chances of her survival would be slim. My mother was very scared to get it not knowing anyone who’s gotten it and really cannot do anything healthy alone without support and pushing. So being a softy I took one for the team. We went to Walmart yesterday and I walked up and said come on they’re waiting on us to give us our COVID-19 shots. I even went first so she could see it was painless etc. So yesterday we both got our 1st Monderna shot. I just want to say I have probably every damn side effect and have annoyingly been dry heaving for about 12 hours now. I got the damn flu like symptoms with shitty ass fever. I don’t particularly like my mother but she’s the only one I have so I reckon she’s worth all this crap. On a funny note my oldest laughed and said ‘You know you have a tracker in you now, right!’ We both laughed. Has anyone else experienced this level of side effects? They told me the side effects are worse with the second shot - I understand why and the science behind it.. but damn! Anyone received there second set with worse side effects?

I have a feeling that within the next year, we will be seeing commercials like this: "Have you or a loved one taken a COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson and have developed complications or died after getting the vaccine? Were you required to get the vaccine in order to be able to work? If so, you may be entitled to financial compensation. Call the law offices of James Sokolove now."

I've had both doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Zero side effects from either, apart from slight tenderness at the vaccine site for roughly a day (only if you actually pressed on the spot). I have three of the listed comorbidities, but I also have always had a super robust immune system.

Of my friends who have been vaccinated, a couple had mild flu like symptoms for a day or two, and one (who has a very compromised immune system) had flu like symptoms for several days, but I assumed it was because she is so fragile. Most people I know did not have significant side effects.

You are a good daughter, @Fives My Charm, to get a vaccine you didn't want in order to help your mom.

I’ve gotten two shots no effect whatsoever, everyone in my circle has gotten two except two young people, they’ve only had one shot. Two people felt sluggish the next day, one had a slight rash around injection area
No other issues so far, if we start getting scales or our reproductive organs fall off, I’ll be sure to let you all know. Strange side effect, seems to have made my allergies less intensive. Of course if I grow gills, that would be the ultimate free diving experience:)

@Alf I am assuming Long COVID-19 is the same as what my doctor called COVID-19 Syndrome. It would be nice if these vaccinations some how alleviate some of my long term side effects. That would be an absolutely positive and pleasant surprise! I don’t like the side effects I am experiencing and my mother had the tiredness and nausea. I am not looking forward to the second round and to be quite honest about it I am now nervous to get it. I know I will take the second shot so my mom will follow thru but damn..

@Fives My Charm my Mom got the Moderna shots. First one she just had a little soreness in her arm. Second one kicked her ass a bit. She had fever and chills, body soreness and just felt crappy for a good day and a half. She got a lot of rest and recovered pretty quickly, but said it was a pretty shitty 36 or so hours and told me to be prepared for that.

My Dad got another manufacturer's, and had no bad side effects other than some slight injection site soreness. Based on the totally non scientific review they've done with other friends and family members, it seems Moderna has more severe side effects, and that the 2nd shot seems to be worst (sorry).

Hope you get better soon!

Moderna is having much stronger side affects, compared to the biotech/Pfizer. I had the moderna and one other person in our group with no issues, everyone else had biotech/ Pfizer. I think the AstraZeneca is garbage and pushing it on people makes everyone leery about the so called fake science. J&J is not all that good, but at least it hasn’t killed anyone, but not many have had it yet, let’s give it time
It’s scary when someone like Faulsy keeps coming up with his fake swamp science, Monday he said no spike, today he said looks like we’ll have a major spike, guy’s an idiot and only reason he gets to play know it all is cause he’s a swamp monster of the first degree and a lib favorite, never has anyone been so wrong and flipped flopped so often he’s become a total joke.
Edit
The one that really knows his stuff is
Dr. Scott Gottlieb, he’s on CNBC quite often and is not an alarmist and doesn’t need to walk back everything he says

I don't intend to take any of them, because I do not need them. I have worked on my immune system for years and am confident. It has been shown that sunlight and VitD both help keep the virus at bay. That said, I would be most concerned about those that employ nucleic acid (RNA and DNA). I don't think we know enough about this right now and there has not been enough experimentation. And, yet, they're already talking about how they will cure cancer with this technique. I think a lot of things could go wrong.

If it weren't for the for-profit health care system here, we could be working on getting everyone healthy. As it is, we just wait for people to get sick and give them a prescription. Having good health requires some action on our part. Luck and genes play a part in it, but health is something that has to be managed and not taken for granted.

I take supplements for my immune system as well as cognition to ward off dementia. If you want to know my regimen, just message me.

And there it is folks, the drug Faulsy said he was disappointed in the results on first day out, then someone wrists slapped him and reminded him the politicians and all the unions were invested in J&J, so next day Faulsy raved about how fantastic J&J was
another famous 24hr flip, flop. Just another reason the Faulsy fake science can’t be trusted, he’s nothing but a swamp monster

I have a strong immune system myself and I attribute that to eating healthy, working out 5 days a week, getting plenty of rest, and taking a daily multivitamin. I don't need a vaccine nor a mask. The immune system needs germs to fight and the constant use of masks and hand sanitizer is only weakening our collective immune systems.

What a stupid fucking thread full of stupid people.

Prob same type of nutters that bought into the "vaccinations cause autism!" nonsense too.

BTW, there is one side effect the drug companies either deliberately didnt tell folks about or didnt give a shit enough to mention it....inducement of menstruation and more severe menstruation than normal. LOT of broads complaining of this, even post-menopause women have reported bleeding in the days following vaccination.

Faulsy confused,:rolleyes:why his fake science, is proven wrong again:D
It’s been some five weeks since Texas lifted its mask mandate, and there has yet to be an explosion of COVID-19 cases.

It’s something Dr. Anthony Fauci can’t quite explain.
Fauci ‘not sure’ why Texas doesn’t have COVID uptick after nixing masks

My best friend, who has a tendency to get respiratory type illnesses every winter went to the doctor with a deep cough, bronchitis was the dx. She was tested and come back negative. She didn't get any better so she went back 4 days later and guess what? Now she's positive for COVID. I was with her the day after her negative test so I got tested and I'm negative and as far as I know still negative. But I get a text from the State Dept of Health every morning, I have to let them know if I'm showing any symptoms.

It could be that most people are still practicing distancing and wearing mask..
The whole point of the article is, not wearing mask

Scare tactics continue, the press has gotten so unbelievably, unbelievable, they have become a joke, huge print today
Turns out it was 8 people out of millions and they hadn’t had their second shot yet
Again from the beginning 95% effective is not 100%
Israeli data shows South African variant able to ‘break through’ Pfizer vaccine

@knockout out I choose to wear a mask and so do many Texans .. I realize the goal is no mask but personally I don’t want the risk .. I use to think poor Asian people having to wear mask all the time to stay healthy thru Bird Flu .. now we’re no different .. wearing mask in my area is about 50/50 .. many of the stores don’t require it but leave signs they highly recommend it..

When I left Michigan six weeks ago to begin 'Travels with my Aunt', which has been a laugh riot, they didn't have the COVID vaccine available. So when I got on the plane at Metro I damn sure was wearing a fucking mask.

When I landed in Florida my Aunt drug me to a Wal-Mart first thing and they vaccinated me here to my surprise. Two pokes, No joke and didn't have a single side effect after either injection. "Me, strong like Bull" and all that.

And you know what? I still wear a mask when I'm out and about. ;)

On Thursday, April 28, Moderna announced it had asked regulators at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to authorize its low-dose COVID-19 vaccine for children younger than 6, according to an AP report.

The company submitted data, which it said shows two low-dose shots are safe and effective for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. It did note that the shots aren’t as effective against omicron as previous variants -- a commonality with the shots available to adults, teens and older children.

Dr. Peter Marks, vaccine chief for the FDA, has said regulators will move quickly without sacrificing standards, in determining if the vaccines should be authorized for the youngest remaining age groups.

Before the shots can receive emergency use authorization, they’ll be evaluated by advisory groups for the FDA and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those independent experts will offer their recommendations, which regulators will use to make their final judgements.

In a study of kids ages 6 months to 5 years old, Moderna said its two-dose regimen triggered high levels of virus-fighting antibodies, much like it did for older populations. Moderna’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Paul Burton reported no serious side effects, and that shots triggered fewer fevers than other routine vaccinations, according to AP.

However, the vaccine was about 40% to 50% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 during trials, which the company said was due to omicron’s ability to evade vaccine immunity. That’s far less effective than the initial COVID vaccines, but on par with the average annual flu shot.

Moderna’s vaccine is currently available to anyone 18 and older. Regulators have yet to expand the shot to kids and teens over concern about a rare side effect -- heart inflammation -- reported in teen boys months ago.

Meanwhile, the COVID vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech is available to individuals 5 and older. Pfizer is evaluating lower dose shots for children younger than 5 in clinical trials, and is expected to submit data to the FDA in the near future.

In Michigan, more than 6.66 million residents have gotten at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and nearly 5.7 million have completed their initial recommended dosage. Booster shots are also available and have been administered to more than 3.1 million residents.
