Authorities in Mississippi say two young brothers, 2 & 5, drowned Monday night, and their mother has been arrested.

Gautier police said the situation started when they were called around 5:30 p.m. to a pool on Three Oaks Drive. First responders reported finding the young children unresponsive at the scene.

Police Chief David Bever said the brothers were rushed to the hospital, but they ultimately died.
The children’s mother, identified as 36-year-old Amber Goldman, was taken into custody in connection with the boys’ death, Gautier police said.

Goldman is being charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Chief Bever said additional charges are also possible while they investigate how the children ended up in the pool.

OK, because I'm a word nerd and you all know it, I looked up how to pronounce Gautier, MS. I would have never gotten "Go-SHAY, MS" I would have thought Gau-tee-ay, or Gau-tear maybe (possible Southernese pronunciation), but Go-SHAY wouldn't have occurred to me...

Anyway, we hates Dope Mommy that let her babies die... :bigtears:
