The mutilated body of a missing teen mom in Venezuela was found inside her freezer.

Ana Gabriela Medina Blanco, 19, was stabbed up to 50 times with a screwdriver, and left in the freezer in the fetal position with her hands tied and her head between her legs, according to the Sun.

Police were trying to track down Blanco’s boyfriend after the reported father of her 4-year-old son made the gruesome discovery, according to the outlet.

Neighbors described the suspect, identified only as Josue, as “very jealous and abusive,” the paper said.

Her former partner had been looking for clues about the teen’s whereabouts when he reportedly went to her home and smelled the putrid scent of death coming from the kitchen.

Her disappearance didn't raise alarm bells as she would reportedly often travel to a different city for extended periods and only kept sporadic contact with her family.

Ana would often travel to the Venezuelan capital of Caracas, so her absence from her hometown was not considered particularly abnormal.

Her stepfather also told local media he had moved to a different part of the country and only maintained sporadic contact with her.

However, as time went on, Ana Gabriela's ex-partner decided to take matters into his own hands and enter her home to see if he could find any clues as to her whereabouts.

So I’m not going to lump all South American countries into one large area where crimes against women are off the charts, but...

And I’m sure all of us reading this post did the math and realized that she was only fifteen (or possibly fourteen) when she became pregnant with her child. A child that will grow up with few if any memories of his murdered mother.

She travelled a lot, hence the slow realization that something horrible happened to her. It certainly seems like a crime of passion, and an apparent unsophisticated one at that, because of the 50 stabs from a screwdriver. I bet it hurt, too, because screwdrivers are not typically sharp instruments. What a tragic way to go. The 4-year-old son is still alive, but he is another victim in this mess.
